Pre-heatstroke conversation

Wrapping up early for the heat (38°C+ and I'm waaaay too cool for AC), figured I'd at least share something with you guys, regarding our growth, our plans, and more~

I'm sure last year was a long one for many of us 😅! I won't discuss serious topics here, as that's not why you've subscribed to our page. However, I hope you still enjoy playing Princess & Conquest and following the development of all our projects, including our new baby, Queen of Clubs!

Regardless of everything, last year we grew our audience quite a lot! Cool!

I've tried to keep most of the important game-related rewards accessible to the Patrons at $5/$10 Tier, who make up most of our base; that's where I think I should focus my attention!

Higher Tiers are key to keep making what we do without worrying, but I want whoever wants to show their trust in us to do it with a full belly! Exclusive extras for higher tiers, while everyone can and should be playing the games. Speaking of games...

Princess & Conquest, you may know it by now 😏, is getting close to releasing its final Reign, reaching the quota I've promised many years ago of 20 "entities" fighting for supremacy in the Kingdom, and probably destroying it in the process~
That's war, you know how it works by now.

Once Toy Reign is out, it will be much easier and way less stressful to work on the routes we want all our girls to have, to finally wrap up our beloved, life-changing (for me, at least), game!

On the surface, it could have been developed as a simple thing, you know? A cute tavern with a handful of cute girls (make it many cute girls?), it could have worked all the same. A simple storyline, stretch goals to meet, and an ending to wrap it up.

I knew the engine already. I have the main gameplay loop already. The world? There. The cast? The best there is. Simple. Too simple?

The latest poll is when it clicked to me. I won't have loose ends, I won't allow myself any kind of sloppiness, if that's my passion and what I want to do for a living.

Queen of Clubs will have to surpass Princess & Conquest. It's inevitable, or it will be a failure in my eyes. While it's a very subjective matter, and I don't expect it to surpass P&C for someone who played it since early development (we've practically grown up together), I think it will have to surpass P&C for a new player that starts either one for the first time, a couple of years from now or more.

I won't allow it to be self-serving, leeching from its' older sister, and to achieve that Queen of Clubs will need the same amount of attention to inconsequential tiny details, so that a new player feels welcomed in a new world, rather than playing a sequel. Ugh... sequels...

The new Princess that will be selected in the "A New Princess for the ♣️Club" Poll will do just that. It's going to be a lovely character, grown to be beloved like the rest of the cast, and she won't be in Princess & Conquest. This final part is the stepping stone to reaching our goals with Queen of Clubs.

Love all that you do tower. I have been supporting for a while and even was knight tier for a few months, because I could afford to support the wonderful games you make. Keep your head high as the games you make have been some of the best I have ever played.
