JUNE UPDATE 1 : THE FIRST SAVING THE GAME TESTS

ADDED ITEM: Name Tag. Give a monster a name! Required for saving monsters for future runs. You’ll start with 2 for now, but in future expect these to be a quest reward. You can also withdraw monsters an unlimited number of times for now, because ALPHA.

ADDED: SAVE MONSTERS. Open the menu then open STORAGE. There's only seven slots, but that's just for now. System needs testing, first. I will scale it up to 56 slots, shortly.

Alter: Shiny Paint Brush can be used on a Super Shiny to make it just Shiny again. 

Fixed: Firefox animations. 

Known Issues: Gradual FPS meltdown on some users rigs? Inventory text shadows now out of sync. Egg Duplication informants. Please report whatever you find, because who knows what I am trying to stomp out of existence with mini-updates.

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Eggomon is where the save files are going. Do not go to this address. Do not open the monster JSON with VisualStudio or any other IDE and change the upgrade bools or save data. I’m trying to get clean feedback. 

I can't even begin to list the number of changes and fixes and planning ahead alterations I had to make to finally get this fucker working. I need to LIST these things down as they happen. Otherwise it looks like I'm JUST job hunting and not working on Eggomon. I found a new one by the way, I start in September! So I have little to do besides collect E.I. between now and autumn.

Also. It isn't JUST a SAVE system. It is an AUTOSAVE system. Name your favorite monster, and at the end of every in game day your favorite monster will save itself, and any fruit bonuses it ate. Obviously if the monster has good genetics from breeding, then it remembers that too and can eat more fruits.

Start your next run, pull that same named monster from the box. It should remember all the upgrades from your previous hard work. The way I have coded the monsters from the beginning is that this system should be 100% future proof so all future game versions will just re-read your favorite monsters from memory. I even told you where the monster saves are stored, in case you want to bring them to another computer.

Let the adventure begin.

Of course the system is a bit jank, and I the f key is... Uh sticky when naming the monster. BUT LISTEN, it just works. So test it.

On it, fix is up. I forgot that I staged out the genetic functions differently and that EVOLVE interacted with a monsters GENETIC functions. I need to check if eggs still work.

Same problem as 1upermario, evolutions aren't working and default to a still image of the 1st fire horse evo.

my evolution is broken it gets stuck on a black screen with that unevolved fire horse 😭 litterally you can choose anything to evolve, not even the same monster, and it just gets stuck there. on the newest build btw.
