Also in the broad games department, I played through most of Silksong and Hades 2 this month and both are bangers; big recommend for both of them.
Stuff You Should Check Out:
The Ghost Game - I ran this lightweight game by Amanda Lee Franck for Halloween this year and it was properly spooky; you play as your teenage self doing some scary minor crimes, and does a great job of evoking feelings of being young and uncomfortable and leveraging those to fuel the scaryness.
Ten Candles - This remains my evergreen horror one-shot game; it's always tense, it's always spooky, and it always delivers a properly grim horror ending.
Mork Borg - This is my go-to for when I want to go grim and edgy but stay upbeat and silly. I used Karl Druid's one shot CLAMDASH this year as a palette cleanser after the genuine spookiness of The Ghost Game.
