He got this Danzo guy running around starting shit all over the place, doing a bunch of stuff behind your back and when you do find out certain things you do not punish him. Hiruzen knew Danzo went behind his back and gave Itachi the order to kill the clan after he told Itachi to buy him some time. He let his friendship with Danzo prevent him from making the necessary tough choices just as he let his feeling for Orochimaru stop him from killing him when he had the chance.

You blame danzo for the akatsuki for becoming that way but its as much obitos fault, he slaughtered the entire akatsuki which would have saved yahiko. 2020-04-23 19:39:31 +0000 UTCThe reason they showed Nagato killing Yahiko, and Kakashi killing Rin simultaneously is because Rin also ran into Kakashi Chidori just like Yahiko ran into Nagato's kunai. So, by seeing Yahiko's suicide, Obito realizes that Rin killed herself too.
