Free Nuclear Reactor in the Sky

Yeah, I know it's controversial, but I also watch with the Chinese are doing. Unfortunately, the US government is very against solar probably due to oil and gas special interests.

Solar power is logical to me because it's free energy from the sun—no fuel costs, no radioactive waste like nuclear, and no big pollution disasters like fossil fuels. It's like a safe, distant reactor in the sky.

The country with the most energy wins.... it is that simple. That will probably be China unless the West gets its act together.

Yes the Big Oil interests won't concede the Peak Oil was 2014. (From actual engineering data of total known reserves - not OPEC or IEA Bullshit!) . The UK uses 1.2 Watts Per Square metre of land and has a population of 68 million people. The Best solar panels (At their technical limit) are about 32% efficient and last around 25 years. The UK energy use is about the same as Massachusetts 125 kWh's/person/day. Each person needs 147 high performance solar panels if they want to make no life-style concessions to today's way of living. That is all well and good but it's an area the size of wales! There is not even enough diesel to recover the fuel and rare minerals out of the ground for the 1st generation of the new digital low net energy future. This also ignores the increased waste from these activities and the impact on the world. The sums don't add up. I'm neither pro or anti climate change, but I'm pro arithmetic! That big Yellow thing in the sky gives us All our energy (Including oil and Gas!) as a Forester I know they were once plans before they became oil. Technology might make us use energy more efficiently for a while but there is no new energy! This generation can still send rockets into space but the next generation will simply rune out of the materials to make stuff! Unless we stop "Burning" the remaining dense fossil fuel and keep it to make the many things it can produce we are in trouble within 50 years. Elon is doing great things but his robo-taxi's need tyres and they are made from a barrel of oil! We need to get real I think? Nuclear will get us so far no doubt but at best it's a stop gap -Short-Term greed will cause the end for this species I have no doubt and I'm okay with that, it's just evolution.

The US shot itself in the foot back when Ronnie Reagan took the solar panels off the White House. Could've been world leader in renewable energy a while ago. And plenty to power AI, BTC, etc. But hey, at least those oil guys got rich.

Where do I ask a question for him to asnwer on a video?

Republicans , democrats, and what ever other party is out there , guys wake up , none of them have our best interest… it’s all power hungry… let’s talk Crypto and MSTR please 😅.

Buying solar companies after the big bill passing was the move. Massive upside. Except enphase😩

I live in San Diego and don’t see solar everywhere. It’s sunny and expensive here. When it makes sense financially we will see mass adoption. Is the government artificially increasing the price? Or blocking it. What’s the hold up?

Michael

And don’t be under the illusion that it’s going to be free or even cheaper. Power companies are in the business of making money. Solar will be no different, and they are spending retarded amounts of money in my area to buy up land for solar fields.

J

China produces most of the solar panels and refines most of the silicon used in them. It’s only logical that they would use the panels.

Cyber Doodle

Unfortunately, they are bulldozing vast areas of woodland and turning farmland into solar fields. This will be counterproductive in the long run. Solar should be limited to rooftops, and that’s all that will really be needed. A solar roof can power the house be beneath it and then some.

J

Large-scale solar farms can require significant land area, which may lead to concerns about habitat disruption and conflicts with other uses like agriculture.

When I see this it makes me smile because Tesla is all over solar and storage! One of their many stealthy businesses in quiet growth mode! (Except today 😳)

Not a relevant comment. I was just thinking the term ‘solar bears’. Turns out it’s a hockey team

Tough Action

have solar and along with a battery, it's great. Actually earned money all Summer. Even Winter in coldest Lancashire helps
