Update: Patreon bug going around?

Some of you have either messaged me or commented about trying to log in to the website and getting an error that says something like:
"Please verify your email address through Patreon before logging in."
Which then WON'T let you log in, so you can't see the comics.

I've been doing some digging on it and it looks like it's not to do with my website, but it's something bigger to do with Patreon itself at the moment.
It's seemingly effecting only a small amount of you guys which is weird, and I've found other content creators with the exact same issue so it's not just us... I've submitted support tickets to try and get a fix going but sadly at this point all we can do is wait for Patreon to fix whatever is going on!
If you are one of these people getting this error could you please comment on this post if you haven't messaged me already? I just want to get a gauge of how many people are effected and see if there are any correlations which might help figure out where this problem is coming from so I can update my support ticket π
To be clear, this is only if you CAN'T read the comics after trying to log in.
It is normal for it to ask when you go on the site each time, the bug I'm talking about stops you from being able to log in through Patreon!
Other than that, to those who are effected I appreciate your patience and I'll update you guys as soon as I found out any info! π

Yeah, now that it's been a few days I'm seeing a fair amount of other creators complaining about this, I hope they fix it fast! Thanks for you patience π

2025-09-01 14:26:53 +0000 UTCI can confirm that this has been affecting multiple websites that uses the same login method so yeah it looks like a patreon issue. I'll be patient for them to fix this tho.
