57:18 Thought on the 5 vs 6 torpedo spread - if the problem with loading the last torpedo had to do with that weapon partially out of the tube, then firing 5 would leave the ship defenseless, without the ability to reload the other 5.

re: cutting the Iowas’ powerplant in half: I remember Ryan S saying they were capable of 26 knots on three shafts. With the fourth not only not propelling the ship, but also providing a ton of drag!
