Comments

In 1967, after being drafted (conscripted) and Basic the US Army sent me to school for Harbor Craft Boatswain. A good part of the hands on training involved the operation of LCM-8 and LCU styles of landing craft. An LCM-8 would normally be transported to the area of use on a cargo ship. An LCU is capable of sailing on it own for some distance. On an LCU there are crew quarters and a galley. The Navy also operates LSTs which can cross the ocean if needed - but I suspect that it would not be a pleasant voyage. After finished 3rd in my class of 30, I was never on an Army boat again and ended up spending most of 1968 working as a stevedore at the only munitions port in Thailand. Have you ever seen an old Victory Ship from WW2 loaded to the gunwales with bombs?

The noisy, grainy nature of the intro footage should remain - it's part of your signature style.
