Do you use the Game Speed Controls in ETD?

I'm thinking of removing this feature, its not as useful as I thought it might be

Honestly you can get the same effect by using cheat engine's game speed hack. So I personally don't use the feature, but it might be useful to other people.

I would think maybe adding a different thing like a shop where you can use weight gains on items or power ups to improve the gameplay would be more of a help

To be honest, the game moves quickly enough that adding even more speed to it feels like the last thing I want when I'm aiming for a good score! I often forget the buttons are even there. In theory, when I remember them, they can be good for powering through bonus rounds to get to the extracts quickly, but this feels a bit like just having a multi-extract button with extra steps. I feel like basically anything the FF buttons do now could be done by allowing multiple extracts after a special stage, or adding a 'flee' button to levels in general to walk away without getting an extract or ranking multiplier.

I actually think a solution to make it more useful in gameplay rather then exploits, would be to lower the speed boost to 1.5 and 2 respectively. Both x3 and x5 especially are too fast be practical, but more modest boosts would make using them at higher weight levels easier. Especially when multiple characters are starting to get close to the 8-10 second range of cooldowns.

I actually love the feature. And use it to power through a botched level attempt and to quickly get through bonus levels to quickly extract all my party members so I can attempt to unlock new items with at base weights for quicker cool downs. If it had to be removed I’d like to see an extract all option that resets weight for everyone but maybe with the penalty of keeping none of the weight.

I would rather just have an exit button.

It's actually good for when you botch a run early on. Without an exit button, it helps to speed things along.

I use them when playing on my phone. "Time" seems to run a little slower on it, so its nice to have as long as its not too much of an issue to maintain.

I sometimes used the speed controls early game - however as the characters get more upgrades I found myself using it less and less. Perhaps having a toggled version of one of the faster modes could be just as useful and open up space on the UI?

Erill

..... There are speed controls? Nah! Just joking, not played in a while.

TDG

I use them if I get a tpko and have to wait a while for everything to digest.
