Q&A Question for World of Warships: Wargaming just released its new Tier X Russian Heavy Cruiser Petropavlosk. The cruiser sits very low in the water and it appears to me that it would it would founder in heavy seas or not be able be combat effective in any unfavorable sea conditions. I can't imagine this ship operating in the North, Arctic, or Northwest Pacific oceans. Was this a real design by the Soviet Navy or just created by Wargaming's imagination?

Meanwhile, the Germans pumped out the Klystron and stuck with it. The Magnetron, in one form or another, had been around since before WWI on both sides of the pond. It's those guys in England that figured out a way to stop the anode from freemoding by doing cavity strapping that made them stable and far more effective. Added benefit they were much higher frequency and thus both more accurate and needed smaller wave guides. This development led to both the Amplitron and the Microwave oven.

John Hargreaves

HMS Canopus was beached at the Falkland Islands and fired two salvos at Spee's ships.

At time 55:20 mention is made of solid propeller shafts. I think they are hollow.
