Question: Did the allies in the First World War try to prosecute any officers of the German navy due to their usage of unrestricted submarine warfare? Also were there similar attempts to do so at Nuremberg (or sub-courts) after the Second Word War?

Q&A or SPN, as you wish: GeorgeTryon hasn't died a very stupid death; instead is posted as First Sea Lord and end his career accomplishing all he wanted. How would that have impacted the naval war in WWI in general and Jutland in particular?

I like the prelude music. Actually, could you start provide links for the tunes you've used? I've enjoyed all of them.

I believe it was 2nd gun in the 2nd Turret. The US navy wasn’t really sure what happened exactly as both turret crews died in a similar fashion to USS Iowa

Oh the USS Mississippi had two gun explosions in the same gun, same turret 30 years apart. One at Tarawa and the other around WW1

7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon: My Dad's Dad, who was born in 1886, was 14 when Queen Victoria died. It amazes me that I met someone who was born then grew up during her reign.

I object to the interlude music. It's simply not nautical enough. Let's jam to some Hornpipe, or Anchors Away, or even some snippets of Robert Russel Bennett.

Question: The RN marines on battleships manned one or two of the main turrets did the US navy follow the practice?

One carrier Captain mentioned that on most carriers, the Marines were in charge of one quadrant's worth of guns. On his ship he specifically pulled them out and allocated all of them to 20mm guns, on the theory that they had more marksmanship training than the sailors.
