He's ALIVE!!!
Added 2017-02-26 04:15:44 +0000 UTCYes, I am still alive and I can't wait for this chemo to be over. Turns out chemo-therapy sucks like every one said it would. I've still got 4 more weeks to go before it's officially over. One more round... One more.
Today has been the first day I felt capable of sitting at the desk and cranking out some work. It feels gooood to be able to do something productive. I am going to finish this as soon as I can. But in the mean time I need to make it a charged post so that I can get paid this month. Medical bills are flooding in. Call it a pin-up for now and a comic page later. I would try and get it done by the end of the month but I don't think I have it in me. I have one more bleomycin treatment on Monday which is a little scary since the last one last Monday kicked my ass. I wouldn't wish that day on my worst enemy. So with your patience and support I'll likely work next week which is a "break" of sorts to get this finished.
I'm in good spirits. I feel unbreakable after how I felt yesterday. A side effect of one of the drugs constituting the chemo drug cocktail intended to boost white blood cell counts is BONE PAIN. Yes, bone pain. So a week after the neulasta injection, yesterday, I had indescribable pain eminating from my entire pelvis and lower back. I had a few screaming convulsions as my body tried to escape the parts that were hurting me (muh bones). I still ache all over a bit but in comparison to yesterday I feel good. Perspective is a funny thing that way.

This is undoubtedly a very difficult, or probably the most difficult, time of struggle for you, and I will support you the whole way. The most important thing is not adding any more stress than you already must be experiencing. I don't want you working on anything unless you find the work itself to be helpful. What I would hope is just that you keep us posted in terms of how you are coping with this brutal challenge. I sincerely care about you as a person and for your well-being. I wondered if maybe part of the reason you hadn't done any status updates was because you didn't have any work to show, but I want you to know it doesn't matter about the work. Just let us know how you are, good, bad, or awful. We care about you!
