JUNE REWARDS 2

If ya wanna follow me on other sites or help me survive by sending money or buying merch, here's ways to access my other content! linktr.ee/darkmastern ------------------------------------------------ ShiokawaStuffer8X Sadly low on brain juices, and yet one idea formed within the bowels of my mind Clown Kaiju ------------------------------------------------ Jinglehoppers are known throughout the Underside, especially the land of Milk and honey and their distant home of the Clanglands, as masters of royal decrees, carriers of secret runic scrolls, and creators of many powerful contracts. However Jinglehoppers that have made many contracts, and whom have collected great amounts of information can transform into a mighty creature known as a Jangleap. Also known as a Jangleap Jinglehopper, A Clown Dragon, A Jinglebell Dragon, Great Bangaroo, or Honkasaurus-Rex, they are extremely rare and powerful creatures. Jangleap stand roughly 40-60 feet tall, and possess massive trumpet or tuba like brass structures growing out of it's head like horns, a Kazoo on it's chin, and a much longer neck. Along it's body are new protrusions akin to a clown's hat, and it has large party blowers on it's back. It's other qualities it shares with it's lesser cousin the Jinglehopper. Jangleap can jump up to 8 miles into the air, and they land with a fearsome and devastating force that can cause tsunamis and earthquakes in the area. Horizontally they can leap up to 16 miles with a running start. If they don't wish to land calamitously, they can utilize the party blowers in their back to release a shrill, sonic wail that can allow them to slow their descent much like a balloon. If they unleash their great cacophony when they initially leap, they could potentially even leap up to 16 miles into the air or 32 miles horizontally. This resonant sound however can still be used as a purely destructive force. A Jangleap can inhale and blow out through it's party blowers, and the trumpet on it's nose and the horns on it's head, as well as it's kazoo. During this time it may also shake to send a cacophony of ringing through the bells. When the Jangleap does this, it releases a sonic blast that can be heard for miles across the underside. Windows shatter and objects that possess a harmonic seam explode. Creatures standing too close to the blast will be instantly liquify and even their bones are often splintered to dust. Those a ways away but not quite in the main blast zone may still have their bones shattered, their ears and eyes popped, and their skin flayed, dealing less and less damage the further away one gets from the area. This is usually released in a massive blast around them, though it can be more concentrated through it's facial horns, though they're a bit less destructive compared to what is known as "The Great Cacophony" or by some kids... the "Death Toot". The cacophonous noise from their attacks and their jingling bells can cause creatures to go deaf or become dizzy and disoriented and overstimulated from the sound, and the chime of it's tail bell resonates not only through space but through your soul as well, leaving you feeling empty and sad if you hear it's toll. Because of the magic resonance through it's bells, it is often known to toll the bell of it's tail when creatures break or end contracts so that they can hear the chime from hundreds of thousands of miles away. Jinglehoppers make deals between creatures and collect contracts. Though they can only make deals between two creatures and bind them through a contract, the Jangleap can sign contracts with a single creature, much like a contract devil, and tends to be a presiding force over other Jinglehopper contracts. It can use it's power over sonic energy to speak directly to creatures that hold contracts and if they break their contract it can use it's power to sonically rupture a creature's insides from practically any distance. Alternatively they often like to toll their bell when time is running out. Only those with the contract can hear it and they know their time is drawing near. Depending on the content of the contracts, the Jangleap may send Jinglehoppers or other creatures in it's employ to hunt down these creatures for it instead. Jinglehoppers bring their scrolls, knowledge, and contracts to a Jangleap as an offering for protection, and many times they themselves will swear fealty to a specific Jangleap and bring them knowledge and contracts in exchange for a bit of it's resonant power. Because of this they also have access to vast scrolls of magic and runes that they can utilize. They build massive mountains and landscapes of scrolls and contracts through the Clanglands as they sift through them and indulge in information, tolling their bell to denote different events. Many Jinglehoppers tend to manage and organize the scrolls and sometimes bands of children will also work here to pay off debts or simply learn from the Jangleap if it has been kind enough to offer knowledge to them. The Jangleap often prevent other Jinglehoppers from obtaining enough power to become a Jangleap themselves so that their power balance is not thrown off. In the case of the death of a Jangleap, it becomes akin to a whalefall in the deep ocean, where denizens from all over the underside come to try and claim the contracts and knowledge, and it can often result in full out wars between various factions of the Underside, or between the other Jangleap themselves. Though they themselves are considered to be akin to gods in the Underside, they are still subservient to the Harlequin King. The bell of a Jangleap can be struck while thinking of a contract to locate similar contracts or even specific knowledge or runes if it has them within it's possession. It can also be used and attuned to specific tasks and creatures to toll so that only they can hear it. The ancient town of Ringading in the land of Milk and Honey has the bell (And corpse) of a long dead Jangleap as part of it's church tower, and it's chimes can scare off many creatures and alert their people when to return to town for curfew. The city was once much larger, and no one knows the story of the children who slayed the beast, however it is a common settlement now partially under the jurisdiction of the First Child where the bell is utilized by the Librarians to keep a collection of Kid knowledge at the library of Alex Andrea. The nose bell of a Jangleap can be converted into a powerful flail usable only by the strongest of children, or as a weapon to be pushed or flung with a catapult. It releases it's destructive resonance similarly to a normal Jinglehopper's tail but on a much greater level. Talons and teeth as well as the bones of a Jangleap can be used to create powerful swords, armor, and weapons due to their hardness and resistance to sonic energy and impact. And the massive ruffs on their necks and wrists can provide comfortable and protective clothing to an entire settlement of children or be used to line walls of a settlement or home to create sound dampeners. The bones as well can be used to craft powerful structures that can withstand great impacts due to their resonance. Sometimes they can be used like tuning forks and with proper training one can create a reverberation that could soothe or terrify an entire town. The horns of a Jangleap can be fashioned to create largescale siege weapons, often firing the bells when created properly, or used as a powerful method to broadcast a message for miles. The horns are very difficult to use as it takes quite a bit of engineering knowhow to get to use, but it is not impossible. The Kazoo on it's chin however is much more accessible, and can easily be turned into a sort of cannon for protective use. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clown Kaiju was funny but it also gave me a GREAT excuse to draw this thing that was mentioned in one of the old Underside monster entries! I ALMOST drew the Harlequin King instead, but I don't have a finalized design for him in my mind so he'll have to wait till another day.
