if you had watched the original Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein you would have gotten more of the humor since it was a spoof of those old classics

This movie uses many laboratory props and set from the original 1931 Frankenstein to give it more authenticity. The script was written by Gene Wilder (Milwaukee's own) and Mel Brooks while filming Blazing Saddles (which I hope you watch on the channel sometime). Both movies were released in 1974 and are found on many Top 10 Comedic Films Lists. Also the cameo from Gene Hackman who we recently lost (as the blind hermit). Mel Brooks - “I was privileged to know Gene Hackman because he played tennis with another Gene—Gene Wilder. And that Gene told him about a little role called The Blind Hermit in our movie YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN,” “He said, 'Do you think Mel would let me play it? I've always wanted to do a comedy." A great reaction as always 🍿
