2025 is here, and I have some updates!

I hope your 2025 is off to a wonderful start! And hey, if it isn’t quite living up to expectations yet, don’t worry—there’s still a whole year ahead to make it amazing. 😊

I had the privilege of ringing in the New Year with my family in Colombia, and it was such a joyful, rejuvenating experience. Between catching up with loved ones, savoring delicious meals, and soaking in all the holiday vibes, I also carved out some time to create exciting content for all of you. Patreon tier updates

Over the past few months, my brother and I have been brainstorming ways to simplify and improve the Patreon experience. After gathering feedback and evaluating how each tier works, we decided to streamline things a bit by merging the middle two tiers (Reel Dealers and Cristy’s Crew) into one.

The newly revamped middle tier will be called… drumroll, please… Cristy’s Crew! Why? Because it’s an awesome name ! 🎉 Don’t worry—you don’t have to lift a finger; we’ve taken care of everything on the back end. And of course, we’re keeping the lower price for this tier, so it’s a win-win for everyone.

If you're a former Reel Dealer, this week you will have access to all the Cristy's Crew stuff that used to be locked off!

Here’s how the new tier structure looks:

Cinephile Pals

This is our foundational support tier, perfect for those who want to show love for the channel while enjoying some fun perks along the way. As a Cinephile Pal, you’ll get:

• Voting power in community polls

• Access to bloopers and behind-the-scenes moments

• Early access to videos (more on this in a bit!)

Resolutions for 2025

As we kick off the new year, I wanted to share some of the resolutions I’ve made—for myself and for the channel. Your support is what drives everything I do here, and I’m excited to grow and improve in 2025 with these goals in mind:

• Better time management.
  I’ll be honest—sticking to a consistent posting schedule has been a challenge, and I know Jorge faces similar struggles when it comes to editing and managing the channel. This year, we’re committing to staying on top of our tasks and creating a more predictable flow of content for you.

• More videos, more often.
  We’ve faced some hurdles over the past few months with our editors, which has occasionally led to longer gaps between uploads. But we’re excited to share that we’ve onboarded an amazing new editor who’s ready to help us deliver more of the content you love—on a more regular basis.

• Consistent Early Access.
  In the past, some videos didn’t make it to Patreon for Early Access before being released on YouTube. This was largely tied to our editing issues, but we’re confident that with our new system in place, Early Access will become a reliable feature—and our goal is for every video to debut on Patreon first!

• Dive into the classics.
  Thanks to a suggestion from Ron (shout-out to you!), we’re launching a new series this year: Cristy’s Classics. I’ll be diving into iconic films that I’ve never seen before and exploring the rich history of cinema. The first episode will drop later this month—stay tuned!

• Branch out into new genres.
  This year, I want to push boundaries and try movies that are bold, unconventional, or mind-bending. If you’ve got recommendations for “out-there” films or genres I’ve yet to explore, drop them in the comments—I’d love to hear your ideas!

• Collaborate with other creators.
  Collaboration has always been on my wishlist, but for some reason, the conversations I’ve had with other YouTubers have fizzled out. This year, I’m determined to make it happen. Whether it’s virtual or (fingers crossed) in person, I’d love to team up with fellow creators.

• Do more livestreams.
  I absolutely love connecting with you all in real-time, so livestreams are going to be a bigger part of 2025. How does a monthly Patreon-exclusive livestream sound? Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in!

• Be kinder to myself.
  In the past, I've been a little anxious and frustrated when I haven't been able to post something for a while or if something is taking too long to be edited... ultimately, I have to remember that I'm learning as I go, that I'm only human, and that I need to give myself a break when things don't go as planned. Because this community is awesome and has my back.
