First time for me watching this one. I looks from the trailer to be a mixture of Star Trek and The Three Amigos. I've been to several Star Trek conventions, and I really want to go to Wyoming to a Longmire convention. It's such a great show! Oh, Star Trek conventions are much more worse. A lot of the stars are nonchalant about the thing. But they make tons of money going to those conventions. By they way, I make a great Commander Data (well, until my hair grew long). Oh man! They had to throw some Stargate SG-1 music and wormhole graphics. I guess no one gets any slack from these guys. Sigourney Weaver sure looks a lot better in this movie than she did in Ghostbusters! Ugly Villains? You should see Star Trek Enterprise! The ugly licking monster is another idea taken from Stargate SG-1. Hiding in the doorways in the hallway is another takeoff from Stargate. That narrow bridge across the top of a fan looks like the bridge of Kazud-Dum in LOTR. If you want a lighthearted TV show like this movie, I really recommend checking out Stargate SG-1. Richard Dean Anderson (formerly McGiver) and crew use wormholes to travel through the universe fighting superior intellect monsters and bad guys using machine guns and grenades and stuff. They poke fun at everybody from Star Trek to Wizard of Oz. I think you'd like it. As you said at the end, I had not heard of this movie either, but it was fun, and your running commentary made it better! Thanks for that. And Happy Star Wars Day. May the 4th be with you! Greg
