Noir AU!! It was a night like most others. The city was all but dead. A thin layer of fog had rolled in and crawled along the ground; just thick enough to hide the ankles and feet of any strangers who shuffled through it. It just so happened the stranger tracing the streets that night as a Private Dick by the name Tisik. Normally he’d be home half way through his usual fifth of scotch, trying to forget the troubles of his past. But on that night he had a case. A dame called Daya had been duped into something or other...Or was it that she needed someone found? He wasn’t sure. It’d started to all blur together because she insisted on tagging along. Something about refusing to sit around and accept being the typical “femme fatale”. He figured it’d be better than her constantly running her mouth to check in on his progress. Problem was she’d already gotten into it with a couple of his usual sources and caused a scene at his favorite haunt. Taron was already trying working with; a cop with a bad attitude and an even worse mouth. Her arguing over that same attitude just made matters worse. Lucky for him Arei, the proprietor and barkeep of The Talisman was a forgiving soul. Arei had pointed them in the direction of the archives. A development Tisik wasn’t particularly thrilled with. The archives weren’t so much the issue. It was more the historian in charge of them. For Tisik, Hisu came with his own set of problems. He was a tall, well built man with the demeanor of a love sick puppy. He was someone that Tisik would tend to find his way to, in his mental passage ways at least, even when he tried his best not to. He always saw the good in people and whenever he was near Tisik felt his own troubles disappear in a way he could only describe as...stirrings. He didn’t know why it happened. But it always did. And it was always with him. He shuffling slowed the closer they got to the archives, lost in thought. Dreading the answers that might be found there — about his case and about himself.

2019-09-18 08:40:39 +0000 UTCArmy of Matchmakers: A rare day of halt and R&R sees Taron and Arei performing their own self-care to catch a break from the winds of war. Daya, however, is very much aware of their feelings for each other, and is well aware their inability to just spit it out could lead to heartbreak and tragedy down the line. So, she has conspired with Tisik and the rest of the army to get them to admit it to each other, and for reasons both practical (don't want their feelings to come up at a bad time in the middle of a fight) and selfish ("Taron jerking it with Arei's name on his lips wakes up the whole camp!"), they agree to make them come together and settle their love. It ends with the lovebirds locked in a bathhouse by Tisik, and much sighing and calls of "Finally!" when they finally get it together.
2019-09-18 03:19:39 +0000 UTCA mysterious fog, there are rumours of monsters here. All who enter see things, most refuse to speak of it. This fog happens to be in the way of Karian army, who are they to fear monsters in a fog? Still, their commander is vary, Thiel decides to scout this himself. All seems fine when he first enters, but soon he starts to hear voices, voices calling his name. He sees a woman, his woman, CLEMENTINE! He rushes for her even as his mind tells him to stop, she's not real. He stops dead in his tracks as the fog reveals to him the whole scene. Clementine, calling his name, in the throws of passion. The man she so lovingly embraces is ....him? but not, this man looks like him in all ways but one. He's human. He looks down at the stomach, the jagged mouth rasping pitiful sounds of pain. He understands this fog now. There are no monsters, only nightmares, images of who you could be, what you could be doing. All those stories, they were merely themselves in a mirror, warped by the reality of the fog to the opposite of who they were.
