Defenders Of The Glade - Fariel Forestthorn(WIP)

Update 28th March

This is the last WIP, today I will be posing him and finishing the details. 

There's still the base and staff to be sculpted but, I will try to make it today, so I can send him to the printer tomorrow. 

Update 26th March

Added details to the belt area and wood armor bits. Today I will refine the shoulders a bit more and finish the gloves. I will also be tinkering on the headpiece to find something better, probably I will remove the owl head and make an owl wood mask.

Update 25th March

Block out some shapes of what I think would work out for him. Light brown will be wood, darker brown leather, purple and green are cloth.

Not sure about the helmet though. Maybe removing the hood could work out, I will still keep both and decide on the final piece.

Hello everyone!

Today I started collecting material to be used as inspiration for Fariel Forestthorn, when I decided to create him I had only one thing in my mind, make a Druid of the Talon with a feather cape, but things are a bit more complex and I am not wanting to make a copy, I wish to give my vision and create a version.

After collecting this info, what am I thinking:

Cape, split into 2 parts, a short on the back and an arc to the tip of the arm, one side it will be cloth and the outside will be feathers. Having a single piece of cape-like Night Elf Medihv feels boring (Top left, it looks like a reskin). Having a full feather cape might be cool but at the same time, I kept wondering how will those feathers be tied together, which could work if they were a bird wing.

Staff: I will try to make it as if it's made out of vines entangling(or a twisted wood) and taking the shape of a moon at the tip.

Spell hand: something with thorns and vines

Armor protection: from most of the art that I took as reference wood armor feels the best. I will go with that. Chest area exposed.

For the legs, I am in doubt here. I like the old design (That art on the middle, black and white) but I also like the one with pants and wood armor in the leg, both look cool.

Shoulder pad, I don't think that I will be making a symetrical shoulder, I will probably make 2 different shoulders and pick one to each side or maybe use only one side.

Helmet: Similar to the bear druids, I want to make him a bird helmet (possibly owl helmet), also a no helmet variation.

Beard, very long and with lots of leafs.

Pose: Don't know yet.

Honorable mentions:  those 2 guys in bottom right, that skinny dude it's strange but also kind of cool. The other dude well he is so out of place lol but yeah it could be fun make that pose hahahaha.

Feel free to leave any comments below, my mind and sculpt are not set in stone so you might be able to change the design.
