Since I do all the graphics (sprites, backgrounds, GUI, CG, etc.) and animation alone, I have to go to tricks.
This is how the background looks in the game:

First, the concept is drawn.
Then, according to this concept, a 3d model is made in Blender.


An unwrap of the model is made and a texture is created, an example of the texture of a pedestal and a door:

The texture is either drawn in a graphic editor or in substance painter.
Models are not made for all subjects, some are added later in the graphic editor in the form of 2d sprites.
In Blender, the camera is set and the best angle is selected, a render is made.
In the graphic editor, the rest is drawn (light, shadows, etc.), brightness / saturation is adjusted. Objects are cut out with which the player can interact.
Done.
