Sinners Landing

So here’s what we did this week:

Chase wrote. A lot. Including our first sex scene for the game, which involves Tyra Swiftgrip, a magical hotspring, cinnamon, and lots of fluids. It’s pretty good.

Sasha, our new writer, has been digging into the text for the new chat system. This system replaces the old flirting feature from Paradise - it’s less “Tinder date questions” and more “short stories about the characters”. So far we like it. We actually assigned it to her to let her explore the character backgrounds and game lore, and get deep into the game story. She seems to be having a good time. Last week, she finished a bunch of writing for Tyra, our mercenary warrior, and then focused on Pog, our half-orc blacksmith. We were impressed with her progress.

Then the whole team did a “group read” of the latest chunk of writing. It was way longer than we thought it would be - took almost 3 hours to get through. This hunk pushes the main story ahead, and serves as a root for many other quests.

The art team is still way the hell ahead of the writers, busy creating comics and special scenes for future writing. Realistically, it'll take months for writers to catch up to the artists' progress. The positive side is that we won't be waiting for art for quite a while.

Then we had a serious discussion about the game's features. The more we were building, the more clear it was that different team members had varying ideas about how things would work. This happens. So Chase broke down and wrote a little game design document that outlines our plans and how the features will function. He guided the team through it, and now Droid is going through and beating what we have into something that smells like that. He seems enthused. He’s big on planning these days.

Also, a quick update: we've hit a milestone of over 14,000 wishlists for Sinners Landing (14,097 to be precise). It's cool, and the count is slowly going up. We hope it keeps growing by the time we're ready for Early Access, setting us up for a solid launch.

Paradise Lust 2

We continue our work on the new girl outfits. Here's Gabby's matching cruise boat outfit.

The girls that are showing up on the first update so far are Cath, Gabby, Raven, Olga, and (briefly) Karen. They're joined by newcomers Emi and Ryoko.

We're doing daily read-throughs of the first month's script now... hopefully we'll have something we're happy with over the next couple of days, and it can move to the scripting phase

Also, Paradise Lust 2 is ALMOST at 10k wishlists... (9,744)

It keeps steadily climbing. The goal is to have at least 10k on EA launch - which seems very doable. Hitting 15k+ would make a huge difference.... 20k+ would almost ensure a solid launch, assuming the game was good. (which it will be!)

Well congrats on your wishlist milestone for Sinners Landing. I hope Paradise Lust 2 gets the same treatment on Steam as well.

We'll also put this on itch.io but not until we have a steady playable build. Say like 3-4 months after the Steam (early access) build comes out. Those are safe numbers. we could release earlier than that but that will still depend on how fast we can fix issues that will be reported once it's out.
