Report Card Episode Discussion

This comic came out of the idea of having a 'report card' centric episode for each of the CMC characters. It was going to showcase different 'parenting' styles and how poor grades are handled differently. We instead modified the idea to focus just on the Apple family for now. But I do intend to someday have one for Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. We'd have to figure out how to handle their parents situations.

This idea has the cute little mantra tied to it. "A for apple" "B for Braeburn" etc. I just found that cute. The whole point of the comic was to show positive parenting and positive reinforcement to viewers, especially of this age group who read our series. It might be beneficial to the parents who read it too! The expected result is that Applejack will be unhappy, especially given Apple Bloom's reaction on panel four.

It's nice when it turns around and is something positive and happy.

Also in panel 2, we showed our new detailed Apple family kitchen!!! It has a country charm to it.

Granny Smith, who rarely appears in the comic, appears in this episode! Good on her.
