Spike feels un-needed seeing that his 'job' around the house can be so easily replaced. Twilight of course didn't mean for this to hurt Spike's ego, it was to help Pinkie Pie and let Spike have a break, but Spike doesn't know that. It isn't all that deep though, this wasn't meant to go anywhere. More of a one-off joke. But I think we will touch it again when we close up Pinkie's arc.

2022-08-21 06:25:35 +0000 UTCOh my, the whole comic is now exploring much deeper in humanity(or dragonity I guess). Maybe it is the first time Spike felt unneed while Twilight has already felt it when Spike met Lily. And I have a feeling of Spike's moving out, would that be the trigger?
