Regarding the feel here, the key is to get a nice clean tone and play the notes quick and choppy. It comes from an extended C minor pentatonic scale which looks like:

Thanks for the epiphany, teach :) Btw, bends are going all right I think--my ratio of music to sad cat is steadily increasing, I think I just need to do it more confidently
