For example, you already that if you’re a guy and you’re talking to an older guy, you call them “hyung”. But only guys can call each other that. So if you’re a girl calling to an older guy, the term will be different, it’s “oppa”. So in this case, that girl called the transgender woman, “unnie”, which is what only girls can call other older girls. And that’s especially significant here, bc you know she is transitioning, people aren’t accepting her, and will also make her feel like a woman. And also, as you saw, a guy calling to an older girl is “noona”. I hope that makes sense lol
