I know this is late, but as far as the present's name goes, I think you should name it "Ne'erdoel" (like the ne'er do well version of noel?) Just a thought if you hadn't named him already!

Erin Garvey

Also, Stewart Semple is the best!

Elizabeth Goans

Christine you should listen to Billy Jensen and Paul Holds' podcast on the My Favorite Murder network.

Elizabeth Goans

finally watching this, but my grand father clock went off at the exact same time as yours!

Kristina pierce

Wish I would've thought of black on black gift wrap this year! Love this.

Sarah

We were there last year; they are awesome!!!

Melody “Buffy” Muir

As I was watching you paint the eyes, I was imagining adding some lightly muted blood shot veins to the eyes, it would add some look of intensity to them. But What a great idea for gifts, Thank You for all your amazing decor projects!

Rachel

Christine you HAVE to see the trees at the NYC natural history museum (origami creatures) and the Met (medieval). They do them every year, not to be missed!

Karl Beck

The drapes came out amazing! Love the crystal, a very nice touch! Can't wait to see what you do next!

Linda

The dra

Linda

Love this. Oh and a Christmas ornament craft along would be wonderful 💖💖💖

Karen Brown

I was so excited you mentioned Johnstown, Pa... this is my backyard and if you ever come to the area please visit the Johnstown flood museum. Johnstown has flooded multiple times.. 1889, 1936 and again in 1977. 1889 was the worst dam disaster in American History. I will need to listen to the audio book you suggested. Thank you for your videos ❤️

Sarah Bartlebaugh

The bow tutorial is so helpful! Thank you, Christine

Alesandra

Can’t wait to see the drapes!!!

DMCM

I’m so excited about this craft, I can actually do it 😂 all my gifts under the tree shall be black with black bows!!

Kitty Lang

I believe your bracelet is by Coro and the style or the beads are called moonglow. It was really popular in the 1950s

Lola LaShea

You are just the cutest! The bow and present turned out amazing!!! ❤️

Bryce

In the UK Chesham would be pronounced Ch-esh-am, if that helps.

MOIRA

Guess what I found? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/855148542/3-pcs-vintage-granny-lot-includes-1980s

MOIRA

He looks like Cthulhu!!! Also I have been listening to Crime Junkies podcast for the last 2 weeks straight to get my true crime fix. Definitely recommend.

Elyse Noelle

His name: Crotchety Grouch ???? He looks likes angry.

Belle Summer

What is your nail polish in this?? It's so gorgeous xxx

Fern Reilly

That gift is so cute! Love the bow tutorial. I'll be putting that to use this Christmas. Thank you

Belle Summer

Thanks for the gocoop tip! I am thrilled to have different sources for fabrics, since JoAnn is practically the only game in town. And I'd 1000 times rather support fair trade.

Amy Mullen

A fun thing to do this time of year isvto.pick a dried bouquet. My grandmother and I used to pick dried milk weeds and dried ferns. What was left of the ferns was the seed pods. There is bittersweet and some maroon berries with thorns. Lots of dried knotweed which is copper colored. You are talented Christine and could come up with a gorgeous bouquet!

Linda

Thanks Christine!!! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving in your new home!

Suzanne Robinson

My cats and I bonded over string and ribbon time. It was lovely to hear from you and see the other members online.

Jessica Ratté

Hello from western MA!

Kara Titus

Bracelet asking friends!!! (Bc i love the bracelet too🥰.) I havent seen any comments on it yet but if there is you can ignore mine. There is probably another name but I found some versions under thermoset bracelets.

Melissa Baxter

Where does gocoop.com ship from? Thanks!

Kathy Ann

This was awesome and simple. ✌️❤️

Pamela Bray

Hi Emma. :) I do not mean that you should have bats in your living area, but I thought she said they was up in the attic. If that's a place she use, then of course there should be no bats there. As I said, bats in Norway live in the house, but not inside the house and they are protected by law. I would love to see a bat house too and if I was rich I would buy old houses bats could live in. I don't know about the death rate regarding bats, but I've never heard of anyone dying from bats. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I do hear of people being killed by dogs. In Norway it's quite common that we get mouse inside the house in the autumn and people are dead scared of them as well. They can carry a virus and if can get infected if you smell the mouse poop. The media writes about it and people gets scared and harm the mouse. Truth is that this problem is so small and no one actually died of it. Not all mice carry it, I mean the different breed if one could call it that. And the most common mouse that enters houses in the autumn do not carry it. But people do not know this because a mice is a mice to them. Bats are not aggressive in general and would not bite, neither does the mice. Bats are extremely important for the eco system and it will harm people more if they die out. We are dependent on them actually. So, if you don't use your attic, let the bats be. If you use it; get them removed and placed somewhere they can be. Do not kill them because we need them. All the best, Kirvil <3

kirvil tvitekkja

I enjoyed that quite a bit. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing future projects.

Tamara Nelson

So enjoyed this one as I've long wanted to find a do-able method for a classic bow. I want to add that I'm new to this Patreon thing (Full confession that I'm one of those newcomers since the candlelight tour of the beautiful new home) and I have to say, more than the ever wonderful Christine or the ever amazing creations that inspire so much creativity, I'm just really loving the community as well and happy to have found like minds. Crafty, artistic, weird, lovely like minds.

VStreet

Victoria

Thank you so much Christine! For setting this all up :)

Amanda Pavel

One thing I will say about the seasonal changes is that you have to find beauty in every season. I love driving all around Maine (where I live) during every season and take pictures. I can always share if you’d like!

Donald Bois

Not sure if you would ever do this, but I would absolutely LOVE if you did a tour of your favourite and/or your custom xmas ornaments! : ) I love the one you made of the sparkly spider and I'm going to attempt to make a peppermint version and a pearlescent version!

Alex

This was fun! I definitely needed a break from news channels, Facebook chatter, etc...

Seana Garrow

Christine, you have the most beautiful hands and nails. I didn’t get pretty hands so I always notice others....but I’m very grateful for the ones I have. 😊✨🌺

DMCM

I think I would have to invite the bats to leave. 🦇🦇🦇🦇🥺

DMCM

Loved this! Thank you! Just yesterday I was telling my husband that I need to learn how to make bows. Also, as soon as you said you needed a name for the grumpy gift, I said BORIS! (And it frightened my cats out of their naps.)

Diana Rose Lindahl

In Norway you are not allowed to remove bats from your house as it should be. Bats are not going to attack you and give you rabies, that's a myth. I've just recently renovated my house and I make space for the bats and bees, and wasps and bumblebees up under my roof from the outside. Bats are nearly gone and it's important that we start to look after them because they are so so! important for us humans. So don't worry about your bats. If you got bitten by your cat or your dog or a rat you would also need to go to the doctor to get a shot. Bats are mostly plant eaters and eat fruit and so on. They do not drink blood or bite humans at random.

kirvil tvitekkja

Yeah that’s the only way I know how. I never saw a pop up when I played the video

Kaige Sellers

What I had to do, was share this video to my phone number. And I believe it automatically took me to YouTube when I clicked on it.

Marina salinas

I am going to buy this NOW!! :D Thank you for the suggestion :)))

Christine McConnell

Enjoyed the bow tutorial! Grumpy Grundwald is adorable!

Michelle Lofthouse

OMG!! I love the gingerbread man idea!!

Brenda Hunt

Fab! Thanks C and Captive. Can't wait for drape-o-rama.

Alaskan Rock Vodka

Yes, for sure, but you can reuse wrapping paper :)

Sasha

If you have questions I did buy her book which was a requirement for the class. In order to take her draping class you must first construct your own personal doll. I will send you a photo of my doll. There are tons of very small blood dots that you have to get very close to see. My hands were just toast after this project. If there was a fire I would grab the doll and my guitar it was that much work. It is beautiful.

juli swann

Enjoyed your bow tutorial. LOL it was cute. I know you have made a huge change. I have made my own dress form. I the lady that taught that was at my jr college La Vina. I a sure she has since passed. It was 82 hours of work. It started with taping your body and then some adjustment for curves then pouring a form into the taped form. You then use your sloper to make a muslin form that is pinned very tightly to your body and weighted at the bottom. Then after much shaving and soothing of the form your fit the muslin over the poured form and then you repeat the muslin with moriae file material and then goes the design lines. I took the class and then did on for my daughter. It is a undertaking not for the light hearted which you are clearly not. I love my dress form it is not like wolve form with this you can stick pins in the your draping.

juli swann

you're looking for a good true crime read, check out "Midnight in Peking" by Paul French. Its so gruesome and fascinating, and the history is very researched, and it really pulls you into glamorous 1930s China. Theres a mixture of Chinese superstition and lore, just because of the nature of the murder, and the strangeness of the suspects. One of the best books I've read in a long time!

June Yorke

Mr. Satine Walrus (Saa teen Wal ROOS) - he's French.

Racheal Jones

I over slept! I’m so glad you posted the video!

Angela Howard

I have three cats, and I do a tree. But I use florist wire instead of hooks to wire the ornaments on. And once the tree is decorated, I run fishing line around the trunk and tie it to a hook in the wall, like Christine said. Even if they try to tip the tree, the line catches it. Hope that helps!

Amy Mullen

You can make bows with wired ribbon too. I use a pipe cleaner or floral wire instead of sewing the ribbon. You loop the wire around the squished together part of the ribbon. Like in this tutorial: https://www.ballarddesigns.com/howtodecorate/2011/10/make-a-simple-bow/

Amy Mullen

Ok so I went on Instagram to see how everyone did with the bow making using #creatingwithchristine and Instagram is hiding all recent and new posts because of "false" information being spread of the election. Now I can't see all your beautiful bow creations! Has anyone tried to see it on Instagram? Very irritated with Instagram right now. None of us post about the election on a crafting page, but they are still hiding the posts 😠

Danielle Gutierrez

Joann has the best coupon policy of anywhere I've been. Sign up with the app AND for emails AND use the ones on the web site. You can use multiple coupons at each visit. Plus they now have a rewards program on the app.

Amy Mullen

Maybe, here and on YouTube? I will have to check after I read all these comments.

Kathryn Evers

Hmm it did not pop up on my phone. But I know how to watch it on YouTube. I’ll try it next time

Kaige Sellers

Just click watch on YouTube when the video starts. It pops up.

Carrie

I’m rabies vaccinated because I was a rehabber in VA dealing with raccoons, foxes and bats.

Brianna

Yes to the gingerbread man!!!’

Brianna

I've lived in PA and WV all my life and I love November here. I like it when it gets bare and a little creepy. It's like it's setting the stage for the first snow, which I also like and others do not.

Stacey Friend

Fun Sunday morning stream to watch while I wrapped my Christmas gifts. Perfect timing! Thanks for a fun chat and craft, Christine.

I just rewatched the Netflix show, and oh my goodness I forgot how funny it was 😂 I hope one day we get another season of that 🙂

Alexxis Johnson

I love your high standards, its so inspiring! If your "easy" project, like the drapes, gets finished and its not fancy enough, I would LOVE to see an episode where you start with a basic thing, and then hot to make it fancy. <3

ostergaard1of4

I'm so happy this live streamed on my birthday!! As a Canadian, I LOVE Jo-Ann's. It's so much better than what we have up here...I've only been once, in Ogdensburg, where I traveled across the border specifically to go to. The flannels are FANTASTIC, both in print and quality and price. I look forward to post-COVID where I can go back :) We also don't have the amazing selection of American Amazon :P You'd be shook if you saw what we have access to on Canadian Amazon, and Fabricville (a basic canadian fabric shop).

Dominique Duguay

I am not a morning person especially on the weekend and we live in British Columbia Canada so the live stream was a bit early for me. I hope to catch one of your livestreams as it is happening one day! :) We are three hours different so my husband and I are watching this during our morning tea! I LOVE the way trees look without their leaves it is sort of haunting but then I find haunting things beautiful! It must look amazing around your house! I don’t find this time of year depressing at all! Trees are so different without their leaves you can see their structure it is so beautiful. Autumn is without a doubt my favorite season. The bow is beautiful and I LOVE the eyes... I bet the bow would also look amazing in a nice black stiff lace as well!?? I will have to try this! It looks like your in-house ghost paid you a visit during your livestream!!!???? :) Also would you ever consider making a gingerbread rendition of your beautiful home! NOW THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!

Margaux Allard

Geat to see you! I think Christine would likeThe Ultimate Evil by Maury Terry. Its old but its a classic!

Omg I love it. I don’t paint but so enjoy watching this beautiful creation

Bonnie Coniguliaro

Putting a white layer down first might have helped make the green more vivid. Because it’s laying on black which my desaturate it a bit

Kaige Sellers

You are more likely to get rabies from a stray dog than from bats. Less that .1% of the hat population actually have rabies.

Ken Sutton

Would the colors show up better if you did a base layer of white and let it dry?

How are the house renovations going?
