World Building 2

= Reskelos [Skyscraper] =

The iron bulwark seats itself at the center of Casafice. Acting more of a helipad for the float fortresses that pit stop for life's blood.

The leaders and chairmen of the region are part of an air navy that sweeps across the island for material and enlistment searches.

The mountain itself is a heavily armed nation's embassy where many walks of life meet here as a safe haven from the wrath of the sea.

Many islanders look to the nobles as the new royals of the world, praising them for Uniting the island's people with their flying machines.

With the combined efforts of Reskelos's scientists and Quemadur's engineers, the iron bulwarks technological advancements grossed them enough power to set up police state waypoints across the map.

Offer protection and arms to fight off the mired come high tide.

While some pray for the aid of armed forces to return to normalcy,  others find the force more equipped to deal with the island's people; not the beasts that terrorize them.

= Gujiga [Giant’s Glaive] =

Within the frosted north holds the husk of leviathans.

A snowscape of colossal frozen carcasses now houses thousands of the most relentless coldblooded warriors on Casafice.

A warrior class of Ahogato once close to the Mojata in strength and zeal; now is all that remains of their sister species.

Frozen fish flesh and Ice pillars adorned the homes and places of worship.

stone statues of fallen heroes of varying sizes tell a story of to the youth, that everyone holds a great strength within them.

Stories of hardship and valor, push the Gujigan people through the frozen wastelands and into the maw of many of mired and prey to return with the spoils of the hunt or a glorious death that will passed down to their children.

the typical wildlife of this area has gone through gigantism to combat the harsh winters and Maguda alike.

While the Mired decapods and mollusks have developed wooly hair bristles on their joints and a boiler sac in their gut to keep warm.

These mired make hunts especially dangerous for simple slashes and arrows can't piece the shells.

Disputes of this they hunted for their natural armor. With the advent of frostbite, machine prosthetics have been less than effective means of limb replacement.

But with Flow. The modified crab claws can function without fear of freezing over.

The mired limbs give the Gujigan hunters a wicked silhouette.

Giving the otherwise Nobel Gujiga people the moniker of savages, despite being the main export of shelled armor and decapodae research material.

This does nothing to their confidence as a people.

They believe that through their methods and honor, the dead will smile down on them.

Guiding their community into prosperity.

= Fracora [Coral fracture] =

A once lustrous reef colony is now hollowed out due to industrial fracking by life's blood miners.

Salt flats glint in the pavement, sponges line the walls, and bioluminescent remains of shellfish embedded in the stalactite canape.

The craven’s close relation to the sea has left very little willing to take the chance to make their claim there.

And yet the few remaining Susuna clans call this place home.

Whether out of tradition or remorse.

The clans seek to restore the land's lush coralscape back to its former glory.

Using flow and alchemy to their advantage to propagate the atmosphere for rainfall, which unfortunately makes it terribly viable for larger mired to explore otherwise salted areas of the coral reef.

Mired are commonly spotted crawling up the walls and hiding in the fractured walls.

Researchers see it as a way to study and learn more about this threat to better understand them and seek peaceful means to deter the predators or even tame them if rumors from EnDelore are true.

The warrior faction; Straego, sees it as the perfect training ground for Young hunters to face their fears and make their claims. Which would result in infighting amongst the Fracoran people.

But despite this, the Straego and the alchemists need each other to forward their agenda.

The mired see no clemency with the Ahogato and will attack anything on wheels or 2 legs.

If the alchemists are to research these creatures they need the protection,  while if the straego want their home back, they'll need the alchemists's knowledge.

= Esmerpul [Emerald Dome]=

The titanic trees cover the swamp marshes below.

A swamp town of mystics, herbalists, and trappers.

It’s theorized that the water from the Fracora flowed through here some time ago.

However, the civilization has always lived in the trees.

The nature of these trees seems to survive in salt water and filter it out in its branches.

The tree network of this marsh appears to be alive in more than a biological sense.
Developing a kind of ritualistic symbiosis in its inhabitants.
Colante clan maintains the forest's health by trapping aerial parasites and treating fissures in the wood.

In return tree grows fruits and herbs from its flowers.

Adding in the propagation of the arboreal society.

This effect has been called the JadeMother phenomenon.

Where flora and fauna recognize each other's worth and work together to protect each other.

Fracorans have ventured into these woods to learn from their elders. Trying to recreate their kinship with the plants as they once did the coral.

The land’s swamps have become more hostile however, mired seeking food in the trees themselves developed barbs and poisons to deter these threats.

Because of this some of the Colante clan took their religion to their neighbors.

Hoping to heal others of the tidal tragedy.

Herbalists, horticulturists, and culinary practitioners left to say to the world; there is no need for fear, the way to rebirth is in the green.

= Gridacos [Rogue's den] =

“The recaptured fishing port town once ruled by the mired."

The port town was the main export of high-quality fish and boats.

Shipwrights and sailors once called this place home before High Tide.

The event left the region in shambles.

The village was the first to suffer the waves. The smell of fish still wreaks havoc on the nostrils of any visitor passing through.

However, the village wasn't completely lost.

While some were able to hop aboard the airships, others perished,  and a lucky or furious few fought back.

The straego led the pack into war with the mired and took as much as they could to keep what was theirs.

The fighting seemed useless but like a spark in an oil barrel, it flourished.

The beast started avoiding the paths that led to the village.

Which gave the survivors time to reinforce their lands.

Boobytraps, landmines, snipers, every measure was taken to keep their homes.

News spread about this victory, the straego recaptured the fishing village, and as a response, the Reskelos fleet was sent to assist in the renewal of the island.

In response to the reskelos's captain landing to great the village leader to set up a waypoint here.

Arm the citizens with weapons and fortify their homes.

The village leader said: no. More. Kings.

And severed the captain from this mortal coil.

= EnDelore [King’s burial] =

The scorning sands hide the treasure trove of a fallen kingdom.

Gold, gold, and bronze sand in every direction. Water scarcity has impacted the ecosystem, while arad winds blow above, the plants and fungus grow below.

The city underneath the sands found ways to make use of the little supplies they had and flourished.

A Colante convoy laid claim to the underground and started planting moss.

The moss was a tightly packed network of turquoise vines that peppered the tunnels. The moisture cooled the underground city and worked its way up to the surface.

The plants above worked as a landmark to announce civilization was near to any weary traveler.

The kingdom below held many treasures.

Gems, oil, flesh? If it could be held it can be sold.

The flesh wasn't limited to slaves, the Vynduego in the region were able to develop pheromones from their own toxins.

Making mired capable of surviving these conditions cooperative and steady steed for long treks across the region.

Outside this region's conditions, it doesn't do more than repel them back into the water.

A life-saving detail that's left out in the pursuit of gold.

= Alunyza [Moon's landing] =

The ancient temple resurfaced.

The shelled architecture is similar to that of a clam and other iridescent shellfish.

All resembling a spiral of sort pointing upwards.

The opal walls were carved in patterns that wouldn't come from a chisel or hammer.

Warped pathways, interlocked like a maze.

A web of paths twisting and turning into each other.

Leading to treasures and dangers not like this world has ever seen.

Those who have entered rarely return, either from getting lost, going insane, or worse.

Those who have successfully made their way out found scriptures. Tablets of an unknown language but with origins similar to ours.

Depictions of tentacled beings and a feathered serpent creature.

When asked if they could go back to where they found it they refused.

The temple told them to leave.

= QueMadur [Burn]=

The steam-powered factory town uses the lava veins of a dormant volcano to power their homes, defenses, and machinery built from crustacean and piscine mired.

atop the volcanic fissure.

The residents used iron and silver to craft miles of walls adorned with moon imagery with the celestial body slashed down the middle.

This is the insignia of the moon blind.

The ruling party of the Reskelos empire.

The militaristic society of Ahogato has rejected the art of flow and deemed the art heresy.

Opting for their ancient Mojatan roots to maintain order.

Freedom isn't rewarded to those of wealth but to those with the strength to be free.

Strength to overcome the sea's reign over the island.

To be free is to wander and to wander is to conquer.

The region's residents are aware that staying behind the walls means they forfeit their freedoms for security.

They live understanding that they're only another cog in the greater machine.

The Forrest of steel and fire.

It's their patriotic duty to push industry, innovation, and expansion to conquer the island's waves.

It. Is. Their. Birthright.
