VLOG: Drive to D&D - Episode 41

And we're back! Last week, we were out at a work function and there was no time to film a vlog. Never fear, for we have returned and are discussing music. As always, feel free to put your requested topics and thoughts below. I'm doing my best to collect the questions and topics and address the ones I can during each following drive! Thanks again for all your support, and I'll see you next week.

I'm interested in what Sleep Token songs you listened to, bcuz as a Sleep Token super fan I'm so curious as to which ones and what elements of the songs you're talking about. I'd love to give you a list of songs that I think would be good recommendations. And as a fan of both you guys and Sleep Token I am not offended or anything lmao I know the band isn't for everyone and still loved hearing your opinion. Hell, I even kind of agree bcuz sometimes Vessel's (the lead singer) scream can take me out of a couple of songs like you mentioned. Oh, and the mashup of caramelldansen you saw was with ST's newest song Caramel (similar titles hence the mashup). Their first single for this album run, Emergence, is amazing imo and I'm also curious if you'd give their new album, Even In Arcadia, a chance when it comes out next month! And I've got another band recommendation: Spiritbox! They're a woman fronted metal band that also recently released a banger of an album and I dont really have a comparison for them but the lead singer's screams are great and not pterodactyl sounding to me at least and her vocals are fantastic! But anyways, thank you Andy and I loved the vlog as always!

I constantly get served ads for new songs from indie or small musicians and it's because I always click to check it out. It's a self-sustaining cycle at this point hahah But I share that philosophy very strongly! I already pay for spotify, so if something catches my eye why not check it out? I've found some very dear artists that I'll carry with me for years. Not really the style of what Andy listens to, but if anyone wants a random rec: I found Kingfishr that way, its an Irish indie-folk band, and the songs I'd start with are Heart In The Water, Killeagh, Anyway, Shot In The Dark, and Man On The Moon.
