Hey! It looks like I didn't only have a poor sleep last week, but I was also fortunate enough to catch a cold this week as well :D No worries though, I've kept up the work to be on track with my plans preceding my upcoming vacation and I think it's been going well.
The next build will launch what I have called the "Samples Forager" questline, which involves your character going outside in the dark to gather samples and help Morris with his research to figure out what's going on with your crewmates.
The quest will be split into two updates/two parts, due to my desire to provide you with as much content as I possibly can given the time constraints and everything.
Here's what I've been doing:

Now my issue is that I have so many changes I either lost track of them or I can't put them all in one status update without turning it into an essay, but I hope you are happy with the pace of development.
The new character artstyle and chibi artstyle & four directional movement may be ready art-wise, but they're going to take a bit of time for me to implement coding-wise, so I'll get into elaborating them next week. They won't be in this month's build however, because there's not enough time to test the entire build and make sure I didn't break anything.
Essentially, by the time the Sample Forager quest is fully released, we'll have so many changes that will force me to fit in more content into this quest and turn it into a slow rollout release.
So, we'll begin this quest with the September build, then, when I'll be back around middle-end of October from my vacation, I'll release an "intermediary" build whose contents depend on how much time I will have to work on some of the missing art and might contain the character artstyle update, then in November the quest should be fully out and include the new four directional movement and chibi artstyle update.
I'm planning for the November build to introduce freeroaming around the ship, and let you interact with your crew (which isn't so numerous right now, but it'll be there). That way I can provide content unrelated to the overall plot and make the ship a bit more lively, while I work on the 2-3 village quests which will be followed by a plotline into The City/The Hub that will let you upgrade your ship just enough for it to carry you into space :)
Thanks a lot for reading this status update and I hope it wasn't too much to read, because it was definitely not easy to compress my thoughts into this π
