FursonaCon Standee Sketches - 'Ancient Rome'
Added 2018-08-25 01:49:41 +0000 UTCSo here's another thing I've been working on between projects the past month or so; I'm one of the Guests of Honor at FursonaCon in VA in a few weeks! It's a small convention, but I went last year and had a nice break, so when I was asked, having never been a GoH before, I felt pretty flattered. I said I'd do my best to fit in some quality work for the con amongst my other duties on Patreon and such. One task was a few standees/standing banners for the con.
The theme is Ancient Rome, and they gave the GoHs some different suggested deities or picture ideas for the various rooms(panel rooms, dealers den, registration, etc). It was suggested:
Red fox as Saturn(I left gender ambiguous here, random OC), god of plenty and harvest, usually depicted with a scythe.
Lion for Vulcan(ended up using Loki!), blacksmith of the gods, usually depicted with a hammer.
Mouse for Minerva, goddess of wisdom(random OC), for the 'tabletop games' room. Leaning on a game board.
Gryphon, (random OC, didn't want to use Rane) for Ouranos, Greek god of the sky. Funny enough I end up liking this design a ton, so I may keep her as my first bird girl. Won't name her Ouranos/Uranus though, because reasons.
I'm sharing the sketches here with the 1$+, but will post the HD finished ones to the 5$+ tiers in the next week or so.
