DCF Tutorial Video (How to use Tom's DCF Template)

Hi Tom, how would we use this model for a company that does not yet have positive EBITDA? Thanks sir

Alex Cashman-Rolls

Is there some mistake in the "After Tax" formula. As per the excel downloaded its deducting 21% from EBIT. But in the video it seems its EBITDA - EBIT*21%. Can someone confirm what is right? Logically to me it seems right to deduct 21% from EBIT (Earnings after DA)

Is there some mistake in the After Tax calculation in the video vs the excel? The video asks to do EBITDA - EBIT*Tax %, whereas the excel template removes 21% from the EBIT

where the heck do you get these numbers from... NWC CAPEX...I google and every site is different

The EBITDA multiples can be found here... https://www.equidam.com/ebitda-multiples-trbc-industries/

Thanks you, this is awesome!

Also, for me, it would be good to have the estimated growth be an input that can adjust the EBITA. That is where I originally got hung up, wanting to put in my own assumptions on Growth. this is easy enough to do without help for me, but just thoughts for others.

Tom Deschenes

Any possibility to add notes to the DCF on how to value the assumptions or where on the internet to get them?

Tom Deschenes

Was that a real company or just used for the example?

Just to confirm: Are all your valuations on your chart what you expect the share value to be in 5 years

Awesome, thanks Tom!

Generico Fakero

Exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks Tom
