March - State of the current projects

Little summary of the current projects here:

- Diane Foxington (The Bad Girl): No problem!
- Maid Marian (Wanted): Possibility of being few days late. Sorry for the inconvenience.
- Beelzebub & Loona (Jealousy): No problem!
- Krystal & Fara Phoenix (The Bond 2): Possibility of being few days late. Sorry for the inconvenience.
- Rouge the Bat (The Red Knight): No problem!
- Kindred (Thrill of the Hunt): No problem!
- Cynder (Breaking Point): Needs to be moved to 'released when ready' with no set date. When we started this, we wanted to fill a gap for the café tier by giving them pictures with alts, like we did in the early days of Patreon, since textless versions might not feel like enough. My wife, Spirale, was able to produce 2-3 pictures per month (alongside her usual work), and after completing half of the series, we thought we had enough of a buffer to begin releasing them. Unfortunately, she was recently hit by the exhaustion from a decade of nonstop drawing and simply hasn’t been able to draw anymore (or barely). For months, she tried to continue it, but it didn't work. She did promise me that she’ll finish the pictures (we're halfway through, after all), but she can’t guarantee when they’ll be ready, as she still needs time to regain her strength. She has been feeling a bit better recently, but not enough to dive back in yet.
To be fair, we saw this illustration series more as an experiment, and it’s given me an idea for something that could make the café tier even more attractive... and interactive*. I wouldn't be able to fund it myself just yet tho, so I'll share more details with you in the future, potentially next month or the following. Probably something for Summer.

On the unpublished yet:
- Elora, Cynder & Ember (Reignited Flames): The comic was supposed to be promoted in February, but unfortunately, while we were working on the cover and storyboard, the artist vanished without a trace. This isn't the first time, and last time, to keep it brief, it wasn’t his fault. I fear his sudden disappearance this time isn’t intentional either. I plan to wait another month to see if he returns. If not, rest assured, I have another artist lined up with a similar-ish style, ready to take over the project if necessary.
I'm really worried about him. I hope it won’t come to that. I'll keep you updated either by confirming the replacement or the return.
- Lopunny (Copyrightmon): Although you voted for the Elora comic to be the next one, due to the reasons mentioned above, the Lopunny comic will take its place (tho it was planned to be launched in March anyway). We’ll start promoting it next week.
I’m going to stop doing polls to decide what project to prioritize, because every time something goes wrong to the winner. Maybe your votes curse those projects, I dunno :T

Updates/Cooking in the background:
- Renamon (Digimon Selenium): 2D animation takes a LOT of time. Most likely a year.
- SCP 1471-A Mal0 (SCP): Working on one shot single page for advertisement of the main comic
- Master Tigress (Kung Fu Panda): Working on story
- Nicole Watterson (The Amazing World of Gumball): Working on designs
- Roxanne Wolf (Five Nights at Freddy’s): Working on designs
- Porsha (Sing 2): Still need to cook. Not convinced yet by the vibe of the story.
- Fortnite girls (Fortnite): I did take note that about a third of voters weren’t interested, which would usually be more than enough for me to scrap the idea. But I also noticed that those who were into it were REALLY into it. That contrast in the votes actually inspired me to experiment (you know, 'creativity thrives on constraints'). I’ve got a feeling I could try a different, more interactive comic style with these characters. I just want to give it a shot, with one or two pages, see if there's something to learn from the experience, and if it doesn’t work, I’ll move on from them completely.
