Chapter 481: A Novel Comes with Zimourman Merchandise

—Zimourman Axel Robin!
The unparalleled troublemaker of the era, unmatched and invincible.
Charlot deeply regretted coming to watch the spectacle. Even with Juno Arthur by his side, it might not be enough to fend off Zimourman and protect him. Moreover, Juno was currently at the Temple of the Serpent of Fate, quite some distance away.
Zimourman glanced back and saw Charlot. A smile crossed his face, as though he had spotted an “old acquaintance.” He casually lit the firewood, and roaring flames burst forth. The priest of the Labyrinth God Agmirlas, Yannis, let out a loud scream, sobbing and begging for mercy. In his desperation, he even started slandering the city lord, claiming to have been acting under his orders. Yet no one pitied him; no one showed him any sympathy. Some even believed his accusations and began calling for the arrest of the city lord.
Before long, the priest was burned alive. Under the incitement of agitators, a large group of residents stormed the city lord’s mansion.
Charlot kept his eyes fixed on the “Captain Huntington.” He had long learned from official documents that the captain had gone missing. However, at the time, Charlot had been preoccupied with a rebellion against his father-in-law, the Emperor of Bretagne, under the guidance of the Serpent of Fate. Thus, he had set the matter aside.
Charlot had assumed he would never see Zimourman again. After all, Zimourman’s memory had been wiped out by the Book of Ages. Even if Captain Huntington had escaped Kilmainham Prison, it was unlikely he would remember who he was...
But... fate works in mysterious ways.
After lighting the bonfire, Zimourman watched it quietly for a while. He did not join the mob attacking the city lord’s mansion but instead greeted Charlot before entering the Golden Temple.
As Zimourman’s figure vanished into the Golden Temple, Charlot unleashed the Swiftstep Technique at its peak, sprinting all the way back to the Temple of the Serpent of Fate. When he finally saw Juno, his joy was akin to meeting his father-in-law. He exclaimed softly, “Teacher, I saw Zimourman.”
Juno paused in surprise and asked, “Zimourman Axel Robin? Wasn’t he killed long ago? The entire continent knows he was slain by Antonio and five of the top Saint ranks from the Axel family.”
Charlot dared not hide anything. At this juncture, concealing the truth would be meaningless. He recounted the entire incident from start to finish.
Juno listened in astonishment, shaking his head repeatedly. “Julius Axel losing the imperial throne is no injustice. How could he have made such a foolish move?”
“Wood Brandon actually managed to become the Fars Empire’s Chancellor! How could someone so idiotic rise to such a high position?”
“What were those two fools thinking back then, committing such unfathomable stupidity?”
Charlot, too, found it baffling. The old emperor and the imperial chancellor’s decisions were indeed astonishing.
Every adventure requires a risk and benefit assessment!
To take down Zimourman, they should have calculated carefully, at the very least avoiding an all-out commitment of the Axel royal family’s power.
If they failed, who could bear the consequences?
Well, unless Wood Brandon had an affair with his father-in-law, there was no other explanation.
Yet, considering that Wood Brandon did not appear after the Emperor of Bretagne ascended the throne, it didn’t seem likely they were connected.
Charlot was less concerned about the foolishness of the old emperor and former chancellor and more worried about Zimourman’s reappearance and what to do about it. Seeking his teacher’s advice, Juno Arthur pondered for a long time before saying calmly, “Although Zimourman is invincible, your teacher is not afraid of him. But unless there is no alternative, I would never confront him. This has nothing to do with you. You are neither part of the Axel family nor connected to Wood Brandon. He might not trouble you.”
Charlot thought to himself, “But I’m the son-in-law of the Bretagne family!”
Juno suddenly smiled faintly. “However, if he hears the rumors about you and Miss Menielman Soumet, there might be no way to avoid it.”
Charlot was taken aback. “I have nothing to do with Senior Sister Menielman! I have my own love, and the entire continent knows this.”
Juno chuckled. “Indeed, the entire continent knows. They also know about your numerous romantic escapades and how you’ve won the hearts of countless young ladies.
“Oh, not just young ladies; there’s even a princess.”
“Hmm, the list is quite long.”
“But they were all kept outside the door by Miss Annie!”
“Now, Annie Bretagne, too, is a princess and a duchess.”
Charlot looked bitter. “Teacher, please stop teasing me. I’m truly loyal to Annie.”
Juno’s expression showed disbelief. After all, Charlot had given a legendary warship to Princess May Guillaume, gifted an entire fleet to Menielman, loaned two cities, including several magical alchemical warships, and handed over Saint Michael Island, a well-known location occupied by pirates for years that even the Ingrima Royal Navy could not conquer. Yet his student had taken it and then generously gifted it to the Imperial Rose...
To claim that Charlot had no involvement with Princess May, the Imperial Rose, was something his teacher could never believe.
Not to mention, there was Miss Rose of Strasbourg. Her fleet, now named the East Wind Fleet, blatantly competed with the West Wind Knight Order.
Currently, the Fars Empire Navy’s three major fleets were Charlot Mecklenburg’s fleet, Menielman’s Imperial Rose Fleet, and the third-ranking Sophia Gallanord’s East Wind Fleet.
Recalling all this, Juno could not help but laugh heartily.
This student of his was truly entertaining.
Charlot sighed gloomily. “Will Zimourman really misunderstand my relationship with Senior Sister Menielman and come after me?”
Juno patted his shoulder. “Look on the bright side. Back in the day, Zimourman was even more infamous than you for his wild exploits!”
“He may not necessarily fancy Miss Soumet.”
Charlot thought to himself, “As a man, I know exactly how men think!”
“Even if Zimourman doesn’t fancy Senior Sister Menielman, he would never tolerate me overstepping boundaries.”
“The problem is, I haven’t even crossed any boundaries yet!”
“Damn it. If Zimourman really targets me, I’ll add a new merchandise option when I return to Fars: buy a novel and get a green hat as a bonus!”
“And I’ll name that hat the Zimourman Hat!”
