Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Chapter 400

Volume 3 - Chapter 104: Millions May Stand in My Way, Yet I Press Forward - Instant Kill Streak - Part 3

Whoosh!

Li Hao's figure streaked through the void at lightning speed, a blur of motion like a storm unleashed.

He had stored the Candlefire God and Xiyan into the Spatial Realm and was traveling alone this time, fully unleashing his own speed rather than relying on the Candlefire God for transport.

Although this approach would leave him significantly drained by the time he reached the battlefield, diminishing his combat strength, Li Hao had no other choice.

The previous battle at Qingzhou City remained fresh in his mind. The two Desolate God incarnations had left a lasting impression on him. He had sensed even then that their appearance likely hinted at the existence of more formidable forces behind the scenes.

Otherwise, just two monsters at the Dao Seeker Realm wouldn’t dare challenge Dayu. After all, the True Person of the realm had a strong likelihood of being at the Dao Law Realm.

From Yunzhou to Dayu Province, the journey spanned half a dynasty and was dauntingly vast.

Li Hao surged ahead at full speed, occasionally using teleportation to leap across distances, as swift as thunder crashing.

As he roared through the air, the atmosphere itself seemed to crackle and hum from his sheer velocity.

After crossing two major provinces in succession, he suddenly spotted a fierce clash along his path ahead—a man and a monster locked in deadly combat.

Sword qi surged through the void, erupting in terrifying sword techniques. Opposing the man was a True Dragon, exuding an oppressive aura. Its scales gleamed like steel, and sparks flew as the sword qi struck its body.

A Dragon Demon? Dragon Gate?

Li Hao’s eyes narrowed slightly as he caught sight of the True Dragon Demon. Without slowing down, he instantly executed a triple teleportation, closing the distance rapidly.

“Huh?”

The Dragon Demon, locked in combat, sensed Li Hao’s aura and its expression twisted in alarm. Just as it was about to react, it saw a young face appear right before it.

Its pupils contracted sharply, but before it could strike, its body abruptly exploded.

With a terrified wail, its divine soul attempted to flee its shattered form. Yet before it could escape, it was crushed by the laws of the Dao Domain.

In an instant, a Dao Seeker Realm Dragon Demon met its end.

The other figure, poised to strike, froze in place and quickly withdrew.

“At such a young age… it’s you?!”

When the elder holding the sword finally got a clear look at the youth’s face, he recognized him immediately despite some unfamiliarity in the features.

The youth’s reputation was simply too illustrious. Across the world, there was only one so young yet so fearsomely powerful—the young general from the Li family.

Hearing the astonished voice, Li Hao found it faintly familiar. He turned to look at the elder and frowned slightly.

It was someone he was only vaguely acquainted with.

The Sword Saint, Jian Wudao.

To think he had coincidentally rescued a Sword Saint from the Sword Abode.

Though, to call it a rescue was perhaps overstating it. That Dragon Demon likely wouldn’t have been able to kill Jian Wudao. At most, they’d have pecked at each other like chickens for a while before parting ways.

The two had met only twice before: once when Jian Wudao had been invited to the Li family to take on disciples, and another time when he’d been invited by Bian Ruxue to lend prestige at the True Dragon Battle.

Now was their third encounter, but their statuses had drastically shifted.

Seeing the elder reminded Li Hao of the little shadow from his childhood courtyard. His frown deepened, and with nothing to say to the elder, he turned to leave immediately.

“Wait!”

Jian Wudao called out anxiously as he saw Li Hao about to depart without a word.

“Hm?”

Li Hao paused mid-step and turned back to look.

“You are indeed impressive, but I believe I was not mistaken in my judgment back then.”

Jian Wudao gazed at Li Hao, his aged eyes filled with conviction. “Ruxue will surpass you one day, especially in the path of the sword. She has been chosen by the Sword Saint as a successor and will undoubtedly ascend to the pinnacle of swordsmanship!”

“...”

“Boring.”

Li Hao’s face darkened, and with that curt remark, he teleported away in an instant.

To have wasted a whole second just to hear such a dull statement!

“That’s a true Sword Saint, a Saint Realm existence!”

Jian Wudao shouted after Li Hao’s retreating figure.

But Li Hao, teleporting continuously, vanished hundreds of miles away in the blink of an eye.

Jian Wudao stared in the direction Li Hao had disappeared, his gaze complicated. Since Li Hao had risen to fame—and especially after the father-son duel at Qingzhou City, where Jian Wudao had personally witnessed Li Hao’s swordsmanship—his Dao heart had wavered.

He began questioning his understanding of the sword.

Could he have misjudged the person? And worse, could he have misjudged the sword?

That battle had seemed to affirm he had misjudged both. Li Hao’s talent in the sword path was extraordinary, beyond anything Jian Wudao had anticipated.

His shaken Dao heart had stagnated his progress in the sword path.

Only when Bian Ruxue, while traveling, had unexpectedly caught the attention of a Sword Saint and been accepted as a disciple did Jian Wudao regain his confidence.

The seedling he had chosen was the best. He had not been wrong!

After all, even the Sword Saint had praised and admired Ruxue, claiming she possessed an innate Sword Bone, merely obscured by dust, and a pure heart dedicated to the pursuit of the sword.

With such a disposition, she was destined to achieve the sword’s ultimate peak.

Li Hao’s growing fame and increasingly formidable cultivation—even his recent feats of slaying the Dao Law Realm Dragon Jue Shen and Feng Lingxiao, two of the top-tier Demon Kings—were remarkable, but cultivation was one thing; the sword path was another.

While Bian Ruxue’s talent in cultivation might not match Li Hao’s, her gift in the sword path would eventually allow her to catch up and surpass him.

Jian Wudao’s earlier words weren’t meant as provocation but had been born of a need to unburden himself.

After all, in Li Hao’s presence, his Dao heart had almost been shattered, his cultivation nearly ruined, leaving him with a deeply repressed grievance.

“The pinnacle of the sword path, breaking through all laws—my Dao is not wrong...”

Jian Wudao murmured to himself.

...

Beyond the borders of Dayu Province, Li Hao continued his rapid flight.

He channeled the energy of the Earth and Heaven Meridian, replenishing his strength even as he rushed forward. Yet despite the aid of the Earth and Heaven Meridian, it felt like a drop in the ocean compared to the immense energy expenditure.

Throughout the journey, he maintained the highest speed of object manipulation, traversing hundreds of miles in a single breath.

For anyone else, using such techniques continuously would deplete at least half their energy reserves.

However, Li Hao had opened all major meridians in his body, granting him far greater energy reserves than most. Combined with the Earth and Heaven Meridian, he could sustain such a pace, crossing half a dynasty in one stretch.

If he had relied on the Candlefire God for this journey, it would have been exhausted halfway through.

Now, on the outskirts of Dayu Province, Li Hao noticed an overwhelming demonic aura surging below. A massive horde of demons was attacking the province’s borders and had already breached them.

As he sped by, he saw little to no defensive forces. The invading demon tide seemed almost unopposed.

Li Hao frowned deeply. He had no time to deal with the demonic horde and instead increased his speed toward the center of Dayu Province.

Not long after, the towering royal city of Dayu came into view.

It was his first time seeing it.

Despite the numerous titles and honors bestowed upon him, Li Hao had never set foot in the imperial capital before.

Now, as he approached for the first time, the sight of the once-majestic royal city, now dilapidated, with its walls crawling with demons, made his scalp tingle.

The scene was enough to make anyone’s heart sink.

Li Hao’s expression darkened immediately.

From the information he had received from Wang Yongzhi, he had anticipated that the situation here would be dire, but not to this extent.

The city, protected by the world’s most formidable defensive formation, had already fallen.

Whoosh!

Li Hao streaked through the air, approaching rapidly.

“Hmm? More reinforcements?”

Inside the city, a young man in a black robe and an alluring woman with purple patterns on her skin were strolling leisurely. They had each devoured four or five Fourth Pillar Realm human cultivators, feasting to their hearts’ content.

The ongoing battle in the imperial palace was beyond their involvement, so they had taken to cleaning up the city instead.

As they sensed the approaching figure’s swift movement, the two demons raised their brows with interest and looked in that direction.

Another new prey had arrived.

However, when they saw the face of the person rushing toward them, both demons froze, their expressions changing drastically.

“It’s that kid!”

As they locked eyes with Li Hao, he stared back coldly.

Whoosh!

Li Hao’s speed surged explosively as he appeared directly before them.

The two demons were not unfamiliar faces—they had crossed paths outside Qingzhou City during their earlier skirmish. Back then, they had only been using their incarnations.

Seeing the blood stains at the corners of their mouths, Li Hao’s gaze turned icy.

“You dare to come here courting death?”

The black-robed youth sneered coldly, his killing intent unabashed. “You may have destroyed our incarnations last time, but we haven’t settled that score. And now you deliver yourself to us?”

Whoosh!

Li Hao said nothing. His figure vanished abruptly, reappearing directly in front of the black-robed youth.

Return to the Void, teleportation!

The sudden appearance startled the black-robed youth, leaving him momentarily frozen. What was happening?

There had been no signs of Dao Rhythms being drawn or exchanged. For a Dao Heart Realm cultivator, teleportation required the manipulation of Dao Rhythms, yet here, there was nothing.

Boom!

Before the youth could react, Li Hao’s fist smashed into his face, and in an instant, hundreds of punches followed in rapid succession.

The black-robed youth’s head exploded in a shower of blood, his eyeballs shooting out in terror.

...

The direct physical impact activated the Yellow Bird Diagram’s attribute, a 1% chance of delivering a fatal strike.

By the fortieth punch, the attribute had been triggered.

A soul-devouring force surged forth, capturing the youth’s entire essence and vitality, dragging them into an endless abyss.

His body’s strength and energy began to vanish rapidly.

The black-robed youth was stunned, panic flooding his mind as he desperately tried to activate his reverse fate power.

However, the fifteen-layered Dao Domain enveloped him, accelerating his body’s destruction and severing his reverse fate energy.

Boom!

With no defenses left, the black-robed youth’s body succumbed to the crushing rules of the Dao Domain and shattered instantly.

It all happened in the blink of an eye. To any observer, it appeared as if Li Hao had teleported, landed a single punch, and immediately obliterated his opponent.

The alluring woman with purple patterns screamed in terror, the cold smirk on her face replaced by sheer horror as she hastily retreated with teleportation.

Boom!

Li Hao’s figure vanished again, reappearing behind her using Return to the Void teleportation, his fists pounding down in a relentless assault.

However, this time, the purple-patterned woman had already activated her Dao power shield. Even with the fifteen-layered Dao Domain amplifying his strikes, Li Hao couldn’t break through the barrier.

Without hesitation, he channeled a surge of immortal energy into his fists. His next punch pierced through the Dao power shield, shattering her head with a sickening crack.

The woman let out a brief, agonized scream before her voice was cut off as her head exploded.

The Yellow Bird Diagram attribute activated once again, forcibly severing her life.

During their last encounter outside Qingzhou City, Li Hao had struggled significantly against their incarnations. Now, with mastery over the six great extremes, each offering unique advantages, his power had grown exponentially.

In close combat, the Return to the Void teleportation combined with the Yellow Bird Diagram attribute made him a devastating force. Without even ascending to Immortal Form, he could now effortlessly kill cultivators at the True Person Realm.

Even Dao Law Realm opponents could fall to his attacks if caught off guard.

So far, no one—not even the Saint Realm undead of the Ji family—had withstood the Yellow Bird Diagram’s lethal attribute.

Having dealt with the two Dao Seeker Realm demons, Li Hao extended his divine sense across the entire city.

In mere moments, his expression darkened.

Whoosh!

He hurled the corpse of the alluring woman, which had already begun reverting to its massive original form, toward the imperial palace like a cannonball...
