Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Chapter 364

Volume 3 - Chapter 82: Since You’ve Seen Me, Why Don’t You Kneel? - Part 2

Boundless Mountain was located on the border of Qingzhou.

Though situated in a remote region, this border area was still part of the Great Yu territory. Despite being a junction between two provinces, it was vibrant and prosperous.

The mountain range stretched endlessly, forming towering ridges with overlapping peaks shrouded in a misty haze.

On the grand peaks of the mountain, the sound of Buddhist bells echoed, carrying a long and tranquil melody.

Paved stone paths stretched across the mountains, resembling white dragons winding through the peaks, converging and extending like a spiderweb in all directions.

The area these paths connected to was known as the Brahma Pure Land World.

Pilgrims journeyed from all corners to worship here. Horse-drawn carriages trudged through muddy roads and dusty trails before reaching the well-maintained stone paths. This stark contrast immediately put the arriving nobles at ease. As they approached the peaks and heard the chanting of Buddhist hymns, they felt as if they were entering a pure land, their worldly thoughts momentarily set aside.

Faint golden Buddhist light shimmered atop the main peaks, piercing through the mist. This was the radiance of the divine Buddhist artifacts.

At this moment, news of Boundless Mountain’s situation had just begun to spread. People from far and wide were still on their way to investigate.

In the skies above Qingzhou, however, a crimson figure cloaked in raging flames soared through the air with incredible speed.

The fiery figure swept forward and soon entered the domain of this Buddhist holy land.

Nearby cities and towns were filled with towering Buddhist temples.

Previously, when the demon horde invaded Qingzhou, this area remained untouched. The demons, unwilling to provoke the Divine General Mansion, had also refrained from targeting Boundless Mountain, one of the foremost powers of the Great Yu.

This only strengthened the faith of the people in the surrounding towns and cities, as they offered gratitude to the Buddhist Lord for his divine protection.

...

Li Hao, seated on the back of the Candlefire God, crossed the outer gates of the mountain directly. A divine formation emerged, barring their way.

The Candlefire God enveloped itself in its Dao Domain, suppressing its aura and bypassing the divine formation without resistance.

Li Hao similarly used his Dao Domain to shield Xiyan, allowing them to enter the formation with ease.

Once through the divine formation, an expanse of mountain peaks veiled in clouds and mist appeared before them. In the distance, a colossal peak towered high, surrounded by numerous smaller peaks.

This was the Spirit Peak Divine Mountain, where the Buddhist Lord resided.

The Candlefire God’s flaming hooves thundered forward as it dashed towards the peak.

Meanwhile, within the Spirit Peak Divine Mountain, the Buddhist Lord sat serenely atop a purple-gold lotus platform. The golden Buddhist scriptures revolving around him abruptly paused.

The Buddhist Lord’s eyes opened slightly, gazing beyond the layers of barriers outside the spiritual hall, as if perceiving the uninvited guests.

“A guest has arrived. Go and greet them,” the Buddhist Lord said with a calm smile, his golden pupils glimmering with spinning wheels.

The three Bodhisattvas beside him hesitated for a moment before bowing their heads and chanting in unison, “Yes, Lord Buddha.” They flew out of the spiritual hall, their divine souls sensing a powerful presence rapidly approaching from afar.

“It’s the Candlefire God!”

“And that young man.”

“He truly came.”

The three Bodhisattvas exchanged glances. Lin Wujing’s eyes flickered with astonishment before his expression shifted to a faint smile.

“So, the boy is actually willing to come here for a thief. The Buddhist Lord’s prediction was indeed accurate.”

The three figures instantly vanished from the mountain.

...

Meanwhile, Li Hao, seated atop the Candlefire God, sped past the many peaks, heading straight for the Spirit Peak.

“Stop!”

Suddenly, three figures appeared in an instant, blocking the Candlefire God’s path.

Li Hao’s gaze turned cold. He recognized the three figures as formidable Fourth Pillar Realm cultivators—Bodhisattvas of Boundless Mountain.

It was said that Boundless Mountain, aside from the Buddhist Lord, had five Bodhisattvas, all in the Fourth Pillar Realm.

“Who are you?”

Feigning ignorance, Lin Wujing smiled and asked.

Li Hao looked at the Bodhisattva who had supported Li Qianfeng at the True Dragon Banquet, then spoke coldly, “Qingzhou has faced such a massive demon calamity, and you at Boundless Mountain, just nearby, don’t recognize me?”

Lin Wujing’s expression changed slightly, feigning realization. “Ah, it’s General Haotian. No wonder you seemed familiar. May I ask what brings you to Boundless Mountain?”

“Shut up!”

Seeing Lin Wujing’s feigned ignorance, Li Hao cursed angrily. “You’re asking despite knowing? Get out of my way. Where is the Buddhist Lord?”

The three Bodhisattvas’ faces turned grim. They hadn’t expected this youth to be so fiery-tempered, disregarding all courtesy. Most visitors to this sacred land would at least speak politely, but not him.

“Could it be that General Haotian is not here to witness the thief’s execution but to plead on his behalf?” Lin Wujing asked, squinting. “General, you hold a different status now. Don’t act rashly and ruin yourself.”

Li Hao stared at him. “When you took him from Tianmen Pass, did you not know of my connection to him? Stop pretending!”

“General Haotian, please mind your words. This is a sacred ground of Buddhism. Do not act rudely,” said another Bodhisattva with a frosty expression.

“Silence!”

Li Hao’s cold glare suppressed the Bodhisattva with his Dao Domain, sending him flying back several hundred meters as he coughed up blood.

“When I meet friends, I drink and write poetry with them. When I meet bald-headed monks like you, even cursing you soils my tongue!”

“General Haotian, do not forget your identity. Are you truly willing to incite conflict for a thief?”

“Let’s see if you’re even worth becoming a conflict!”

Li Hao’s eyes grew cold as an imposing aura erupted from him. With a resounding boom, Lin Wujing and the other two Bodhisattvas turned pale, feeling an overwhelming pressure forcing them to their knees.

Shocked, they realized the immense gap between themselves and this ferocious young man, whose strength was utterly terrifying.

Suppressing the three Bodhisattvas with a single glance, Li Hao wasted no time and charged toward the Spirit Peak Divine Mountain atop the Candlefire God.

...

Before him, the grand Buddha Hall stood magnificently, exuding an air of solemnity and grandeur.

Li Hao’s expression turned icy. Within the hall, he could sense an immense presence, vast like an ocean, radiating an aura of pure and unyielding strength.

“Stop! This is sacred ground! Even as a court general...”

The four Dharma Protectors stationed before the Buddha Hall shouted, stepping forward to block Li Hao.

“You recognize my status, yet dare to stop me? Move!”

Li Hao’s cold glare swept over them as his aura surged forward, forcing the four Dharma Protectors against the walls of the hall, unable to move.

With leaves swirling around him, Li Hao strode into the Buddha Hall.

Standing in the doorway, he seemed to block out all light entering the hall.

There, he saw the imposing figure of the Buddhist Lord seated atop the purple-gold lotus platform.

Their gazes met—one serene and unreadable, radiating calm, while the other sharp and unyielding, his emotions laid bare.

“General Haotian.”

The Buddhist Lord greeted him softly with a smile.

“Buddhist Lord, I am a duke of the court. Since you’ve seen me, why don’t you kneel?!”

Li Hao’s icy gaze pierced the hall.
