Status Update~

Hey guys! It's been a while. I thought I should probably make a news post to tell people where I'm at.

Sorry again for the lack of Pervader content. I really wanted to get back into monthly updates, but I haven't been able to. Life gets in the way, in small ways that don't really seem that big at first, but they get big enough to become obstacles.

Pervader v0.18.0

Hello!

I actually made a silly story mistake last update. I wrote most of last update to take place inside a dark apartment belonging to the witches, but I had completely forgotten that I already introduced their hideout in a previous update. I've fixed things so only the original location with the original background is part of the story. So if you're surprised at the current location where the guys are hiding out, that's the reason!

Pin-up suggestions

As I said a couple of posts back, I'm doing pin-ups again! This time, anything goes. It doesn't have to be Pervader characters. Feel free to suggest any characters you would like me to draw. I'll be drawing them just as lewdly as before, if not more. I'm open to drawing pin-ups of Alen and Jymsar too, if you guys want that!

Pervader v0.17.0

We're back from hiatus!

This update continues both routes, so feel free to go either which way! It is once again a moderately short update, but I think there's lots to chew on in this one, and I'm confident it will whet your appetite for what is to come next.

Also I apologize for how long this hiatus has taken. I didn't really intend to take a break from Pervader for this long. I got caught up in doing other art stuff, which has been pretty cool, but I digress.

Status update! Pervader, Horny Gaol and artwork

Hey guys,

Wanted to give everyone an update about the status of Pervader and Horny Gaol, and what I'm up to.

The past couple of months have been busy for me IRL. Unfortunately I haven't done almost any work on either Pervader or Horny Gaol during that time. And I likely won't be releasing another update too soon.

Pervader v0.16.0

This update only features Jymsar's story, which I wanted to add in the previous update. No new Alen content. Sorry it took so long!

I've been busy working on Horny Gaol. I shared some of my progress in the discord server. At some point I want to make a playable concept demo showing you guys what Horny Gaol is going to feel like and how it's going to play, but I still need to implement some systems, and none of the artwork is done yet except for some UI stuff.

Important Announcement! Something fresh...

Hey folks!

Sorry I haven't released the public build yet. I said I would do it with the Jymsar content and I've disappointed some of you. I got heavily sidetracked by an idea that's been floating around in my mind for a while. I'll talk about it in a bit. First things first though.

I'm postponing the rest of the Jymsar stuff until next update at the end of the month, as well as the Huck pinup. Also, there won't be anymore pinup polls or pinup images anymore.

Hey, so I wanted to get both routes done this update, but I ended up focusing more on Alen's side of things. As a consequence, I feel like Jymsar's route wasn't as well done. So I decided to put off Jymsar's part for a bit while I sharpen it some more. I know you guys really want to see more Jymsar, especially after last update, so I'm going to fit it in the public release a week from now and do him better justice.

Pervader v0.14.0

The Umbral agent... (The fun part!)

I added several new piano tracks to this update. They're perhaps not fitted perfectly well in the scenes, but I wanted to showcase all of them to see what you think about them. Please share your thoughts!

Bugfix update 0.13.1

There were a few issues in the last update that I wanted to fix early rather than putting it off for the public release. Mainly there was a broken script that prevented you from being able to start a new game.

Pervader v0.13.0

Meeting the healer!

Sorry for the late update. I wanted to get it out last month, but I've been struggling a bit creatively with how I want things to happen from here on out, revolving around Alen and Jymsar's romance, and then I took a bit of a break from working on it.

It's another fairly short update, but that will help the next chunk of the story flow better.

Pervader Pinup Poll #2!

I'm thinking I'll organize these polls on a per-body type basis. We've got the chubsters, the bara dudes, and the lean guys.

Alderic led the last poll as a chubster. Gemmaborg was a runner-up, so that is evidence of some bara thirst. So that's what this poll will be. And next month we'll do the lean guys.

I'd add Alen here as well since he does fit in bara as well as chubsters, but I think I'll put him off until another time.

We're not yet done with elysium.

I couldn't quite finish everything I wanted to do at Alderic's elysium, so there will be another update next month to cap things off before we get to Tinderhall.

Bad news first! I won't be doing simulacrum content anymore. It's just taking too much time and it's too distracting. There will still be some new simulacrum content in the future, but only when I have the time to work on something good. The Alen x Vinter simulacrum story is scrapped, howe...

Pervader v0.9

Welcome to elysium, pervader.

The Simulacrum update with Alen and Vinter is not yet ready, as I'm reworking some things and haven't had the time to finish it.

The previous UI update has been reverted to something that looks more like the default renpy UI, since it didn't work out too well for everybody last time. I want a good UI that functions well on both mobile and desktop. More experimentation to come. I hope you like the font though.

Finishing up Everwind's encounter!

The Alen x Vinter simulacrum story is not in this update. I still need to do more work on the CG, so expect it next week.

The next update will focus on Alen's route. While I would have liked the split routes to be done in one update each, I'm not too confident I can do Alen's in just 1 either. We'll see how it goes.

Note: you might encounter a bug where Everwind's sprite is missing if you load a recent save game. To fix it, just load a save...

The journey back south, with Jymsar.

Hey! So I expected to do more this update, but a few different things got in the way, including a scrapped Simulacrum story, and I spent a lot of time on visuals rather than writing this time around. This means that the next update will also be dedicated to Jymsar, and Alen's route will have to be pushed back a month.

Simulacrum poll #3

I'm confident I can do these.

Also, I'll be releasing the next update at the end of the month, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to fit this simulacrum update by then. Just a heads up.

Some bad Simulacrum news. Eldon x Harren has been scrapped.

I've been working on this simulacrum story since it was voted on, writing and rewriting it a few times, and it just feels frustrating because I can't make it work. Although I created the Simulacrum format so that I can stretch the canon into fanservice for you guys, I feel like this particular scenario is stretching it too far for me.

The thing is, while I am very happy that people enjoy all of these cool fanservice ideas, as the creator of this world I have a very particular idea about...

Alen or Jymsar?

At the end of the current build, Alen and Jymsar split up and go their separate ways. Reamus may join either of them, and the next version (v0.7) will focus on one of these paths.

Which one should be done first?

Here it is! This update concludes the first act of Pervader. Two thirds left!

The next update will be very special, as we will be focusing on one of our two splitting routes. Expect a poll up tomorrow where you can vote on which one we should tackle for version 0.7.

I'm very excited about the next few updates, as we are going to start engaging in romance with Alen and Jymsar. This has been a long time coming.

Sadly, I wasn't able to finish the Simulacrum story this month. I might release it midway through April, or I may postpone it until 0.7. Patreon supporters at Pervader tier or higher may want to lower their pledge this month, since there is no Simulacrum reward. (Otherwise, thank you for your support!)
