Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Chapter 335

Volume 3 - Chapter 63: Crushing - Part 2

The sky fell into a profound silence, as if even the birds dared not chirp.

All eyes were on the young man. Beneath his composed and tranquil expression, there was a faint trace of impatience.

Facing the King of Taisui and the elders of Gluttony Valley, the youth appeared to regard them as mere fish on a chopping board, ready to be sliced apart at his leisure!

Xia Linglong and Xia Yuanwu were utterly dumbfounded. They had expected a brutal battle, yet the scene unfolding before them was beyond their wildest imagination.

Only now did they understand why Li Hao had called this a matter to “resolve in passing.”

A Supreme Dao Realm cultivator—a being second only to a true Daoist Lord. To someone of such a level, the forces of Gluttony Valley were no more than helpless infants, utterly incapable of resistance!

No wonder Li Hao had directly summoned the valley lord of Gluttony Valley. No wonder he acted so unrestrained. It turned out that everything stemmed from one undeniable truth—he was simply too overwhelmingly strong!

Boom!

Suddenly, another elder of Gluttony Valley exploded into fragments. His soul had only just emerged when it shrieked for mercy, but in the blink of an eye, it was extinguished like a speck of ash rubbed out by an invisible hand.

The sudden assault left the remaining two elders of Gluttony Valley trembling uncontrollably. With a resounding thud, they dropped to their knees in midair before Li Hao, shaking so violently that one of them wet himself, his entire body convulsing as if his very bile would spill out.

"Mercy, General! Mercy!"

"We’re willing to serve as your mounts, to be your beasts of burden..."

They kowtowed desperately, their previous ferocity and savagery nowhere to be seen.

“It seems there are others vying to carry me,” Li Hao remarked to the Candlefire God beneath him.

The Candlefire God’s flames roared to life, and his gaze turned icy. “Then may I eat them?”

“Go ahead.”

Li Hao readily granted his permission.

The Candlefire God’s Dao Domain expanded abruptly, engulfing everything in flames.

The two elders of Gluttony Valley dared not evade. Instead, they begged more hopelessly than ever.

The merciless Dao Domain descended, its burning laws spreading over them. In an instant, their bodies ignited.

"You… You’re the Candlefire God?!"

The King of Taisui, finally regaining his senses, paled again. He had at last recognized the demonic lion-like figure—this was the overlord of the Void Realm!

It felt like a thunderbolt had struck his mind. Staring at the scene in disbelief, he muttered inwardly.

Though he had never respected the Candlefire God, the latter was still a ruler of the Void Realm, a being who had cultivated for millennia. Where was his pride as a demon king? How could he have been reduced to someone’s steed?!

Hearing the King of Taisui’s trembling voice, Xia Linglong and Xia Yuanwu also froze. Their faces filled with horror as they turned to the creature beneath Li Hao. This demonic beast… was the ruler of the Void Realm?

They were stunned, but suddenly, everything made sense. Li Hao’s presence in Youzhou, the eerie silence from the River of Death in Liangzhou—it wasn’t because of flawed intelligence from the Xia family. It was because Li Hao had subdued the Candlefire God there!

To make a Void Realm overlord willingly lower itself to the status of a mount—this was harder than slaying it outright!

Xia Linglong looked at Li Hao, suddenly feeling like the earlier meal they had shared was meaningless. The faint sense of camaraderie she had built with him vanished, leaving only an unfamiliar stranger—a figure she realized she barely understood.

“Hurry up. Don’t waste my time,” Li Hao snapped, urging the King of Taisui.

The King of Taisui came back to his senses, his expression darkening as despair crept into his eyes. He knew there was no escape today.

His chance to reverse fate had already been used up. Without a second life to rely on, he would undoubtedly fall here.

"Fine! I’ll speak! I’ll speak..."

Bowing his head in defeat, the King of Taisui finally began, his face ashen with despair. "No wonder the Candlefire God failed. Against a monstrous talent like you... If only I had realized sooner. But today..."

His muttering voice suddenly stopped. With a roar, his face twisted into a ferocious snarl. "Even if you kill me, you’ll die as well!"

While speaking, he had already expanded his Dao Domain. Now, it suddenly erupted, covering his body and sweeping outward toward Xia Linglong and Xia Yuanwu, intending to drag them down with him.

“Dao Domain!”

Xia Linglong and Xia Yuanwu were startled, shocked to see that even the lord of Gluttony Valley had reached Half-Step Dao Domain.

As the domain expanded rapidly, the two unleashed their Undying Force, attempting to pull away. Yet, in the next instant, the Dao Domain melted like snow in the sun. It dissolved, retracted at lightning speed, and was forcibly compressed back into the King of Taisui’s body, unable to spread a single inch further.

“A mere Half-Step Dao Domain, and you dare act out?”

Li Hao raised an eyebrow. “Why insist on choosing the most painful way to die?”

The roar on the King of Taisui’s face faded. He froze in place, utterly stunned.

He had known that against a true Supreme Dao Realm cultivator like Li Hao—especially with the Candlefire God on his side—he had little hope of survival. Yet he hadn’t anticipated the disparity would be this incomprehensibly vast.

...

His Dao Domain had been forcibly suppressed, unable to manifest. What difference was there between this and having his Dao Domain destroyed entirely?

“You… You…”

The King of Taisui stared at the youth as though he had seen a nightmare given form.

“Enough. Die.”

Li Hao, seeing that the King of Taisui had no intention of revealing anything further, lost all patience. His Dao Domain descended with an overwhelming force. With a resounding boom, the King of Taisui’s body exploded into pieces.

The physical body, forged to the Eight Extremes Realm, was utterly defenseless against Li Hao’s Dao Domain. It shattered under the weight of a single layer of suppression.

For a mere Half-Step Dao Domain opponent, Li Hao hadn’t even needed to use a second layer of his Dao Domain.

The King of Taisui’s soul emerged from the ruins of his body. Instead of fleeing, it stood there in stunned silence, as though the futility of resistance had finally dawned upon him.

Only those who had directly encountered a Dao Domain could comprehend its terror.

Li Hao didn’t obliterate the soul entirely. Instead, he wiped out most of it, leaving only a tiny fragment. Handing it to Xia Linglong, he said, “Senior Xia Linglong, I’ll leave the interrogation to you. I need to head to Qingzhou. When I return, I’ll come to you for an update.”

As the head of a top-tier demonic force, the King of Taisui must have been involved in this grand scheme. Li Hao had no intention of letting him die so easily—he wouldn’t give him such a reprieve.

Xia Linglong accepted the fragment of the King of Taisui’s soul with an expression that could only be described as reverent. After a brief moment of dazed hesitation, she quickly nodded. “I will. You can count on me!”

Without hesitation, she unleashed her power to seal and suppress the remnant soul completely.

“General Haotian, please be careful on your journey to Qingzhou,” Xia Yuanwu interjected quickly, speaking at a rapid pace as if afraid of delaying Li Hao’s departure. “Once the Xia family pacifies the unrest in Youzhou, we’ll rush to reinforce you immediately.”

Li Hao gave a slight nod.

He then raised his hand, and in an instant, the Earth and Heaven Meridian extended outward. The infinite power of the heavens and earth surged toward him, condensing at his fingertips.

This torrent of energy swiftly transformed into countless streams of sword energy. Above the battlefield, countless sword lights materialized, stretching endlessly and forming a cloud of swords that seemed to obscure the sky.

The sheer magnitude and might of this force left Xia Linglong and Xia Yuanwu stunned. While they could summon such destructive power, they could not possibly achieve such vast coverage or project such an awe-inspiring presence.

Yet, for this youth, it seemed as effortless as lifting a hand.

“Kill.”

With a single word from Li Hao, the countless sword energies rained down like a storm. The descending sword rain carried a thunderous roar as it fell upon the demon horde below.

The demonic beasts charging toward the battlefield were instantly engulfed by the sword rain. Every strand of sword energy struck with lethal precision, obliterating each demon in one blow, without exception.

Even demons at the Heaven and Man Realm were helpless against a single strike of the sword energy.

Only those in the Three Immortals Realm could barely withstand the onslaught. Yet, under the relentless bombardment of the sword rain, they were quickly riddled with wounds. After enduring hundreds, if not thousands, of sword strikes, they inevitably succumbed to that 1% chance of a fatal attack, perishing on the spot.

The sword energy extended across an impossibly vast range, its sheer numbers staggering, as if it encompassed the entire battlefield.

Most terrifying of all was the precision with which these sword energies were controlled. Under Li Hao’s guidance, they maneuvered through the chaotic frontline where the Xia family forces battled fiercely, striking with such accuracy that they eliminated only the demons while sparing every human soldier.

In mere moments, the battlefield’s cries of rage and pain, which spanned hundreds of miles, began to subside.

The skies seemed to collapse into a vortex, pouring down an endless deluge of rain-like sword energy.

It scattered across the battlefield, covering an overwhelming majority of the combat zone.

Through the enhanced reach of the Flying Slash Technique, the range of the sword rain extended over two hundred miles with ease.

One sweep of this deadly storm resulted in the annihilation of countless demonic beasts.

Xia Linglong and Xia Yuanwu stood beside Li Hao, utterly speechless and overwhelmed with awe.

Without the King of Taisui, the grand elder of Gluttony Valley, and the remaining elders, the Xia family forces would have required immense effort and time to eradicate the demonic tide.

But now, under the cleansing sword rain unleashed from Li Hao’s fingertips, the roars from the ground below were silenced in mere moments…
