Author Update 6-26-2018
Added 2018-06-26 12:37:54 +0000 UTCWhat's up?!
I want to give a big welcome to all the new members of the Patreon group! You guys are awesome and thank you for being here!
So, I owe you guys an update or two. I find I've been distancing myself because I'm afraid of giving spoilers. If you didn't know it, authors are tempted to give spoilers, nearly as much as readers want to have them in some cases.

"Ladies and dudes! You can't imagine what just happened! I want to tell you and share these emotions and the awesomeness of it all, but I can't. Sorry. But just know, its crazily amazing stuff." Said the author as he sat there staring at his computer screen twitching from too much caffeine.
A dozen readers scowled at the same moment as they read the author's cloaked response.
"Perhaps we should try bribing him..." One suggested via Discord.
"I hear he likes bacon." Another mentioned.
"Torture."
Everyone turned their attention to the person that could only be described as at least half crazed.
"No, I don't mean physical torture." The person responded immediately adding a smiley face to reinforce their point. "Everyone should get a plate of bacon. Then make a video in which they threaten to overcook the bacon if they don't get their way. We will give him twelve hours to comply, or else."
"You are a psychopath! I'm not going to burn bacon just for a few spoilers!"
"You don't have to. If he doesn't comply, then just cook it like normal and say it was a joke."
"I'll do it!" A new voice said. "If he doesn't comply, I WILL, burn the bacon!"
A dozen gasps rose up and once. They were so profound that they appeared in the chatroom even though no one typed them out to share.
"I may regret it for the rest of my life, but if what the author says is true..." The newcomer said.
"Such sacrifice. You are a true hero." The original poster who suggested torture says, all the while PMing a sinister gentleman that like to stay hidden in the shadows, of the chatroom... "Okay, its done. Some crazy person is actually going to go through with it."
"Well done, my apprentice. You're training is almost over."
"Thank you, master. Thank you."

Okay, so that was really random. Lol.
Back to the update.
So things are going really well. Writing full time comes with its own difficulties, but a lot of freedom, that I'm learning to get the most out of. Some days I'm getting as little as 2k words written, others I'm getting 6k or more.
I am finding I have to go back and make sure to add Elorion draining new creatures for stats and blue magic. As a writer, I most naturally focus on character. In Underworld, even though we are adding more character depth and world building, this series is mostly about the internal thought process of a single gamer as he navigates this new world and the game system. It's also not supposed to take itself too seriously, although this book will be a bit darker than the first. The focus is fun, so I hope to continue to follow the "only as serious as it has to be" philosophy.
This isn't to say they won't be faced with real trials. As you see in chapter 13, it's time things got a little harder for Elorion and the crew. Only time will tell how bad things really get.
The chapters I'm writing are also getting longer as we get into the exploration and adventuring aspects of this novel, so expect a higher word count each week.
Other than that, I hope everyone is well. I can't say it enough, but I greatly appreciate the support and feedback. Also, don't feel you have to supply feedback. Sit back and enjoy. Its still welcome, though. I working on, and hoping, to only get faster in my craft to get you guys more content.
Cheers!
