But they knew at least on a surface level that Sulvain is a necromancer? Do they know or respect what that entails?

As for why he left by the window maybe he couldn't enter the building at large because he didn't get invited in by the building owner or superintendent? The flat itself is legally the renter's property for as long as the lease remains in effect, but maybe that doesn't apply to the main entrance in vampire magic terms. Alternatively he's doing it because he's hot and everyone knows the hot boy never uses the conventional entrance.
