Seeing this film again after so many years later was such a treat. It's so god damn good. Everything, just like Fellowship, holds up so well.

Actually there was another error: around the 1 hour mark the dub jumped ahead again. So it went back to 4:32 ahead lol. Either the patreon app was glitching or there’s some cut dialog on HBO between Aragorn and Gandalf.

2023-01-09 02:36:35 +0000 UTCThere was a weird sync error right from the start- on the 4K blu ray there must be some more after the new line/black screen sync time because I had to eventually pause the dub for like 45 seconds to get it back to syncing before the first mountain shot even happened. It’s so strange because it worked perfectly on fellowship and everything described here made sense; I was at 17 seconds on the disc just like on HBO. Then instantly I was behind while you were describing the mountains and hearing Gandalf while I was still looking at title cards lol. the dub is 3:51 ahead of the runtime of the 4K discs, once you correct the initial sync error. First disc is 1:46:38 so when you start disc 2 the dub should be at 1:50:29.
