Rifleman C 2
Added 2024-10-03 00:53:25 +0000 UTCAnother poll time. We recently put a project phoenix style cockpit on the NAIS Thunderbolt variant. Now I'm thinking of putting phoenix style radar fins/booms/shells on the Rifleman.
We haven't caught every possible opportunity to do such inclusions, nor has there been the time committed to the discussion or effort required to do true phoenix restylings and how that would be explained in a current era that sometimes deliberately uses old model looks. My position has been to do so when it's sensible and fun. There are some cool phoenix era visuals that I like, some already rolled into the current minis.
But, what do all of you think of them?
The insane i JJ load on this variant made the original radar awkward, and while the phoenix ones aren't perfect either I thought them a fitting inclusion and go with the all around tech stacked look.

I think, tastefully done, it can look great. Seeing the test midel for the RFL-8D, I think that that could have looked cool on that as well. My one gripe with that, as well as the Argus, is the "shrouded" RAC5. The way you're doing RAC5s now makes them visually indistinguishable from UACs, and to me, gets rid of that A10 Warthog aesthetic I love. It needs more BRRRRRRT!
