Thunderbolt IIC Concept
Added 2024-08-19 02:41:20 +0000 UTCI've worked up a Thunderbolt IIC redesign for an upcoming project and I'm curious what yee players think of it.
Particularly, any attachments to its old look versus the game's modern looks. Many old iterated designs (II, III, mkii, and IIC) don't quite surpass their original designs, making them not look more advanced. The Thunderbolt IIC, Loki mkII and Thor mkII in particular look more ruggedized than advanced.
Do you think the Thunderbolt IIC should look like this, more rugged? Or should it be made it look like a more refined and advanced take on a Thunderbolt?
Feel free to comment with how much you'd want it to stray, if at all. And point out any specific areas or proportions you'd like to see changed.

I would pull the three lasers in the torso together into a group rather than a group of 2 lasers and a single laser like you've done now. That's more like the old Thunderbolt. And of course the LRM launcher more on the left side.

2024-08-30 11:21:31 +0000 UTCThe things that always bothered me with the TB IIC were the industrial looking cockpit and especially the missile rack. The look of it makes it look like it stows and pops up out of the back like a turret and not being offset seems wrong on a Thunderbolt.
