Prototype Lance Completed
Added 2022-07-14 07:25:29 +0000 UTCI dragged my feet a bit, but here are the finished prototype lance photos. Lets call them ACES out of time :)
They all came out really cool looking.
The Sagittaire is a monster to jewel. I wanted a mix of cockpit warm lighting and external blue reflection on this set, but it's too much realestate where you'd expect interior detail to show, so instead you get a sunset like reflection haha. I'm sure better painters will love working with it.
I experimented with some gloss coated dark brown sections on the bases to simulate mud and it worked. Sadly I over applied the gravel on the Sagi and Regent which ate up most of the mud. Meanwhile the Firestarter and Scorpion worked really well.
While I'm personally not a scorpion fan, it definitely looks great in mini form.
And finally, really fun to have the Regent done on my desk. A mech that I had my hands on from start to finish. From old sketch idea, to officiated concept, loadout input, 3D modeling, lineart, and then miniature painting. Credit to Johannes, Ray, Alan, and Raymond for help along the way.

2022-07-14 11:13:48 +0000 UTCYeah I like that most of its configs aren't super optimized. It's just a big mech bringing a lot of guns, while not taking anything outright bad. Very versatile for a commander to use also.
