Marauders

The trio of Marauders is complete! PPCs coming your way.
Marauder IIC just finished final fixes and posing so I wanted to display them all together. I really like how it came out. Sculpted by Alex Immerzeel with some final editing by me.

Anyone planning on chopping some of these up to mix and match parts?

Absolutely 100% perfect, all three of them, but especially the IIC. You took something I liked despite it's awful design and made it something that is almost identical yet somehow infinitely better.

David Razi

ObeeKris in the first book of the warriors series Primus Waterly asked Precentor Martial Focht to upgrade their marauders to the mad cat configuration but was told if they did it would not be able to carry any armor or if it did it would not be able to move at all with current star league tech available . So you have a fluff reason why they didn't do it before the arrival of the clans

Robert Moore

because for most of the Succession Wars the Marauder was one of the pinnacles of Star League mech design and they did not want to Malf Up a good thing if it could be helped.

James Bixby

Why didn't someone do that before the clans showed up, is my question. Both Marauder and Catapult were around for a couple hundred years before the Clans showed up, you're telling me a tech never saw one of each standing next to each other and went "Maybe we should put arms on the Catapult there?" or went "I wonder what would happen if we took the autocannon off the Marauder and put missile launchers instead?" It just seems weird from a fluff/lore perspective that it wasn't tried before.

* takes the Marauder arms and pouts them on a catapult* ... "What"

GREAT NEW LOOKS.

Jeffery Smith

I like the Marauder II, but I LOVE the Marauder and the IIC. The curves, the pinch points, the little details… perfect.

Carlos Sempere

My favorite IIC mech that got an awesome treatment from you. Kudos to you, man for doing a job well done!

Sapphirus

The Stone Rhino is a close second to this. Amazing work guys!

regarding the cut off parts and mix and match. 1) Already I want to take the IIC's dorsal gun and transplant it to a Behmoth "For old time's sake" 2) I am envisioning the MAD II's Dorsal gun and arms on the IIC's to create the heavy laser version, more as a curiosity then a replacement for the Project Phoenix Versions. 3) but the IIC's legs on the original Marauder like "Here Boy, this is called ARMOR! it can go on legs too! 4) I Really want to see how the king crab looks so I can consider either the II or the IIC's arms on the KGC in order to create that Star Leauge PPC over LB-10X Version.

James Bixby

This different perspective of the II makes it look way different!

Oh boi, oh boi... I want them all (and I will get them when they will be out :D)

*sits in satisfied silence*

That IIC is looking REAL GOOD!

Yeah I never asked around but it always looked like the Mad IIC unseen was one of the more rare OOP miniatures. All around, I think we're gonna see a lot more Marauders on the table soon.

Anthony Scroggins

I am so jazzed about that IIC. One of the absolute best-looking mechs, and now modernized and available again for less than $1928571258917 on eBay!

Robert Schuster

Yeah I think it's my favorite too.

Anthony Scroggins

Barbers Marauder IIs here I come!

Robert Moore

Loving what you did with the IIC. My favorite of the bunch (and they're all damn good).

Kanrei13

Very excited to get these miniatures painted up and hopefully on the battlefield. The team is doing amazing work updating the Mechs.

Dan Hegarty

Yeah they're all different in their own ways. The Marauder is a clean piece of star league tech. The II looks like it properly gained 25tons and is built in the post SW Inner Sphere (even if by Clanners). The IIC is a high tech aggressive piece of Clan machinery.

Anthony Scroggins

It should re-open for Wave Two, so you can add more IIs and IICs when we get there.

Anthony Scroggins

Yep, not everyone likes the chunk, but it tells you this is a 100 ton model built to carry itself, not just an armor upgrade with JJs slapped on.

Anthony Scroggins

Nice really like that the IIC looks like upgrade of an existing chasis while the II looks like a spiritual successor

Nyxus

I know there has been some heated discussions about this, but my personal favourite out of the three is the Marauder II.

very cruel of you ;)

nice. you know the pledge manager is closed so we cant add any more of these nice toys to our pledge.

I'm MAD about this. Nice work.
