Non-Story: Changes to Benefits
Added 2024-09-27 00:43:13 +0000 UTCI've been wanting to add more early-access chapters to the benefits and I'm finally getting the time to do it. Before, I offered 5+ chapters of both stories for five dollars. I'm increasing that to 10 chapters now, so close to double what I offered before.
The 10.00 Tier will get any early-access chapters above 10, and any chapters from new stories. I'll also add a 5.00 tier for just the new story. Stories? Several in the works. I'm hoping to start one of those in November. I'm undecided on doing it as a Writathon or not. It depends on the story.
One that would work is set in a crazy ruined city and the main goal is survival. With a solo character, those chapters go fast.
On the other hand, Scrapyard Hero will come out slower and have a lot more going into it. I'm a huge fan of Manly Wade Wellman and his Silver John stories with weird happenings, old gods, and the Lost and the Lurking around every corner. That one might just lurk here in Patronland and not head to RR until a substantial amount of chapters are done.
Gutter Magic is similar, I want to do a good job on it, and it has a more complicated plotline
So for now, 10 chapters of Butcher and TR for 5.00 a month, and at 10.00 a month more chapters of both stories and maybe a new story at some point.

Why are the new chapters locked and no notifications? Is this a shakedown for more money?

I use TWI as a baseline for judging other patreons. If others try charging too much for too little I hit the route. If what you said is true I will likely stay

2024-09-27 14:52:43 +0000 UTCThe number of advanced chapters for 5.00 doubled from a guaranteed 5 to 10. For 10.00, you'll be further ahead, and get some advanced chapters of new stories. The pace of new stories for Butcher is staying consistent at 2 chapters per week.

2024-09-27 06:31:14 +0000 UTCI wouldn't get rid of the 5.00 current tier. It's affordable and some people have been in that plan for two years. I'll think on separate tiers for just Butcher or the Rat. Just finished the third Milo chapter of the day and it's 2am. Time for bed.

You’re only talking about changes for the $10 & >10 chapter tier, not changing the current $5 tier’s setup?)

2024-09-27 04:50:13 +0000 UTCWhile I prefer Butcher, I enjoy the crossovers between it and Milo’s story, both narratively & lore/world building, and I do read both. I’m pretty happy with having the BoG/TR combo. I can see stories from other universes split off, though. Sadly, whether it’s 10 chapters ahead or 20 is kind of the same for me because I’m always caught up, always waiting for that next hit.
