Possibly Arteta knew of the impending Wolves fixture cancelation. Thought it was almost cruel not to start Eddie in this game knowing the fixtures coming up but with Wolves out of the way this side makes more sense.

So on Saliba thing, more of a question for main pod; seeing how Gabriel-White partnership works and knowing we have Tierney/Tavares on left and Tomiyasu on right, would that give Arteta the option of deploying a back three of Saliba-Gabriel-White? You have a left footed CB on your left and right footed CB on your right with Gabriel in middle. Does that make sense?

Paul’s point about xhaka being the muscle is exactly why I think he’s so important to the culture. We don’t get pushed around when he’s on the pitch.
