Where's Tim these days? Have you frozen him out? 😭

The first* yellow card on Coufal is absolutely warranted, imo. What I hear from the commentary is that the players actions aren't intentional and he doesn't have the history of being a dirty player. The latter is irrelevant and the former is untrue. Does Coufal mean to pop Tierney in the face with an elbow? No. But does he intend to extend his arm across Tierney's chest to gain position and impede Tierney from progressing? Yes. The action Coufal takes to establish position on Tierney is legal one, the problem is he fails. He's beaten. Tierney has the upper hand. As a result, Coufal's arm slips up and absolutely pops Tierney in the chin. To me it's dangerous, even if that wasn't his intention. Player A gets popped in the face with Player B's elbow while Player B attempted a legal action but failed because Player A held positional advantage and Player B didn't retract his action. I mean.... this first yellow card is warranted. The second? Nah. Especially because it's shin to shin and not a stud. The fact that Coufal makes contact with the ball first isn't all the relevant to me. In the sense that, the ball is still in play, Lacazette has a chance for it, but is completely taken out by the follow through. If that happens anywhere else on the pitch, that's a foul. Lacazette's penalty shout in the first half is also legit. I heard the commentary say Lacazette lost the ball, but that's not entirely true. He still has a chance to make contact and thus score. His contact on the ball is impeded because the defender makes contact him first, without touching any of the ball. Penalty for me. Either way, it doesn't matter. West Ham were never the better team in this game and we got everything we deserved.

Martinelli running with ball reminds of Brazil Renaldo before his injury

When Martinelli starts to relax a little he will be brilliant

Back tomorrow

Never mind Where's Aubamayang. Where's Stillman?

On the ESR goal. I remember in an interview Arteta said he should challenge himself to score 15 goals and 10 assist in a season and persons said it's to much pressure on ESR. Halfway through the season he has 6 goals 2 assist. Not bad at all.

Coming in hot!!

On the Martinilli goal he said that was worked on in training. When laca gets the ball to make that run and it worked. I'm paraphrasing.
