Oh, spoke too soon. You addressed this later in the episode.

Clive, you say Aubameyang needs to play with another striker (I agree). You've hinted several times that "I know what I would do". What is it that you would do? I personally think a 352 (with the forwards up top instead of out wide like in the 343) which maintains a midfield trio is the best setup to utilize the strengths of Aubameyang, Pepe, Lacazette and even Martinelli.

I'm amazed at the excuses for Xhaka. The way to judge any player is not when he's playing next to quality player but when he can step up to be the quality player when he's partnered with someone who's not of the quality. As Clive would say "Xhaka lacks fundamentals" to be a CM/DM in a PL team. And guys please don't be so politically correct for Xhaka. If we can say Cedric is shit then let's say Xhaka is shit as well

Great pod guys. I think it could be a great pod topic to look at Edu’s time at the club even separate from Arteta. If I remember right, one of his first mandates when he came in was to restructure the academy. It looks like the Academy is one of the few bright spots the organization has right now so would love to hear about what sort of changes he and Per have made. Could also be a sign of things to come in regards to the first team

Great format. Really like it

Get yourself a woman that defends you as eloquently and passionately as Paul defends Xhaka.

This is more relevant to the last pod, but I think we should always remind ourselves that in the last 12 months, the club have gone from expecting an extra £300mil a year from the ESL to £0. So the change to project youth, why we were happy to throw money at Auba, what players like Auba and Partey may have been told about the future direction, the owners 'backing' Arteta, should all be seen through this prism. Hell, what was Willian told about winning the Champions League? Do we really think super agents weren't aware of the ESL? The board has had a rude awakening in the last 6+ months and they now need to run the club properly, and have surely changed approach.

Offence: Serious shit chat

Give Paul a red card

That’s actually an interesting way of Looking at it.

Clive, Arteta has bought an attacker. He bought Auba early last year.
