Thanks to Tim. I'm a fan of Arsenal Women's team now.

Elliot I am whiskers man. I have made my peace that if Arteta is not on course for 30 points by end of first 18 games then he has to go. Don't care how we get there, but it's important to show the progress in the table. It's no good playing great football and loosing majority games by odd goal margin and then be in relegation dogfight. Don't chuckle but it's a definite possibility. That's why I wnat to see the progress in the table and points else good riddance to Arteta nd Edu. Thanks but no thanks guys.

Gang, I wonder if you'd feel slightly different RE: Edu's comments about a "Foundation" if he'd used the word "Baseline" instead. I don't think (and I don't believe that THEY think) anyone is believing these transfers were all core guys for the future top 4 Arsenal side (Odegaard is probably viewed that way). I do think they view this as "We've got the guys we need to make sure that we're not worse in the future". Even if these guys hit their median outcomes, they should keep the team in the "Fighting for 5th" area - and given their long term deals, they can become the background dancers for the big-wage big-name stars you target in the next few seasons. It's not glamorous, but if it means you never have to lose to a relegation side because you had to play Cedric and Elneny in the same game, then you've won yourself a half-dozen points on the season and established a more stable baseline.

Poor Roger.

Agreed. Precisely the same insightful and knowledgeable perspective that he brings to the men鈥檚 game. I really found the summary he did useful and I鈥檓 looking forward to watching more games this season. Thanks Tim!

Tim is doing a fantastic Job for the Arsenal's Women Team !
