The deals and rumors this summer make it seem that Edu is trying to reverse course from last summers short term/ stopgap signings (Willian, Auba, Etc) and instead build a team that can compete in 2 years. Lokonga over bissouma, white over a CB ready to play in a 4 now, Ramsdale over literally anyone one of the many outfield players we need. I don’t hate the approach since no amount of money spent this summer will allow us to compete for top 4. But it will make for a long season and leaves Arteta to the dogs.

I am.seriusly worried and just feel over the past season and this first game Arteta has shown very little by way of squad building, man management, tactics to a certain extent, handling youngsters and football style that he is the right man to take the club forward. Mind you a majority of these traits are of Manager not a coach. May be there in lies the big problem.
