In Defense we will not have Gabriel M available for the start of the season. With rest and pre season we will probably not have him for 4 weeks into the season. In the midfield, we will not have Partey and Elneny (if he is still there) from start of Jan to Mid of Feb. One plays for Ghana and other for Egypt fair to assume that they will go through to Quarters at least and probably Egypt all the way to finals. Assuming your excitement about Bissouma we get him then he is gone for 6 weeks playing for Mali. So we have a decision to make here that we can't have 3 midfielders leaving and with your suggestion that Xhaka also leaves. By the way Xhaka is voted into Premier league team of the Season. We need to integrate Willock/AMN and cant both of them go. So we need to look at midfield acquisition with ACN in mind. In attacking front, we will not have Auba and Pepe available for 6 weeks middle of season. Martenelli will be off to Olympics and will not be available for the start of the season. Also if you sell Willian we have to buy or integrate Riess Nelson, Balogun and any new striker/winger into the team. Its going to be a tough summer and Arteta unlike us will be looking at ACN and Olympics as well. As someone wise said 'In the Long Term we are all dead', so we have a decision to make in the short term for next season.

According to the Athletic, Edu pushed Willian on anyone that would listen. A Kia player in a positiin that was not a need. Willian had double digit sign on fee. Buendia was available for 20 million last summer. That alone shows Edu is more concerned with enriching his buddies over the best interests of Arsenal and should get him fired.
